Title: Poles
Post by: FierceKitty on 10 April 2010, 07:15:35 PM
I've always considered the Poles as the Ferrarri of P. and S. armies; will someone tell me why since finishing the army I've been thrashed twice by Muscovites and once by Turks? The last is particularly painful, since my opponents did everything wrong, and then fought off a massed hussar charge into contact on level ground with the Janissaries.

Fierce,

Can't believe your opponents are cheating like that!!   ;D

Seriously, bad dice on your part? Who knows? I love the Turks - when you win with them, you've actually accomplished the impossible! But how did the Muscovites beat your Poles   :o? Seriously, they had to be one of the worst P and S armies ever! Heck, the Poles beat them time and again, so either your scenarios are wrong or the rules are just screwy! It's never the commander's fault!  :P

Thanks for those kind words! The Turkish defeat really hurt, especially when my king engaged and was twice repelled by an element of Tufekci skirmishers.
The Muscovite had lots of Cossacks; I wonder if that helped.
