I thought it was about time I joined up and said hello :) having lurked for some time!
Recently getting back into tabletop gaming after what turns out to be about a 10 year hiatus ( was 1/35 scale modelling, an still do)
Periods of interest in 10mm at the moment are
WW2 1:1 scale using panzer marsch rules (down grading in size from 15 to 10mm)
SYW still to decide on rules, Piquet are looking interesting, any suggestions?
6 an 28mm for Napoleonics, massed and skirmish respectively
1/3000 napoleonic naval, trafagar rules
when I have a little more time I may well add some AWI and ACW to this list ;D
I must say its nice to see a friendly and helpful forum.

Delighted that some have the historical sense to choose SYW in preference to Napoleonic. :) Welcome aboard!

Hi Vlad
Good to have you with us
Thanks very much for the warm welcome :)
Hopefully when the busy job and the high octane 1year old allow I can show some of my finished stuff, time as always is a major premium :(
@ Nik, I hadn't considered Black powder, what are they like?

They're OK - reasonably simple & fastplay, although to be honest, I find myself increasingly drawn back to 'purer' Warmaster variants [I blame kids for my frazzled brain being unable to remember more than one 'core' engine - mine are high-octane too :) ]
I've posted a couple SYW batreps here:

Yeah, Black Powder is just the Warmaster engine tweaked a bit to make it look like more traditional historical wargames and to try and write out the 'tournament/competative play' feeling that pervades most of the GW-style games.
Its not too bad as a ruleset. i prefer the way it handles command (achieving similar results to WM with fewer dice rolls - always a good thing), but other than that its fairly bland.
For me it fails to inject any period flavour though, which is a shame.
