Title: RJW Japanese Generals
Post by: Shedman on 11 October 2011, 09:46:59 PM
I'm looking for suitable figures to represent Japanese High Command in the Russo-Japanese War - any suggestions gratefully received

See http://www.baxleystamps.com/litho/ogawa/ogawa_russo-jp_collo_p10_80-1.jpg for an example

I have used WW1 British officers as generic 'inter war' command. The figures have swords so mightwell travel back a bit further in time ?

I'll second Sunray's suggestion. I think the figures may be suitable with a little modification as the hat may be a little broader and they wear Sam Browne belts but apart from that they are very close to your photo

You are welcome.  Try a little fine sand paper on the rims of the British SD caps and you achieve that Japanese 'pork pie' look that will pass in 10mm.
