Wondering what other projects outside of 10mm people have on the go?
In between 10mm I have been working on some Incursion Weird War II models which are fun to paint even if the game is a bit pants. I have also been painting a few more 28mm historical WW2 figures just as a bit of a change.
At the moment, 3mm WW2 and 6mm ancients ( maybe)
28mm 1st Crusades skirmish about 50 figs per side
15mm Musketeers and 6mm 8th army, waiting for some 1/600th scale aircraft.

28mm
Rules of Engagement: British WWII platoon + support (mortars, HMG & 25pdr)
Medieval Warfare: Wars of the Roses army 20% done - on hold until we find playable rules
I also picked up, over the last coupleof weeks, some 'weeping angels', and Daleks/cybermen/Sontarans fromt he Dr Who magazine so i might do something with these...
Given Ambush Alley's impending 'Tomorrow's War' rules release, i'll also be looking at GZG's 15mm sci-fi ranges.
I'd love to do them in 10mm but the Pendraken sci-fi range is pretty limited... :(
15mm SF for tomorrow's war. 15mm Renaissance, now officially for Impetus. A few starships sort of on hold, along with some 1:600 RCW river vessels. 6mm SF which is very on hold. An SF world building project which I will be getting back to and which really has no miniatures element.
oh blimey - i'll interpret 'on the go' as meaning actually in live progress - not sitting in the cupboard which i really really should get round to....
40k Chaos Space Marines - suffering painters block on the first figure :(
Dreadfleet ships- i'm going to have a go at one or two of these to clear the painters block!
About to order my 18thC eastern types for the next WD3 battleday
Space Hulk figures - whenever i need a break i have a go at one
Whats Dreadfleet like?
Man 'o' War was fun, but like every specialist GW game it came and went and wasn't looked after by the parent company, but by all accounts DF is very, very different? I don't get the impression (and if history is anything to go by) that there is any intention to develop the game beyond the box set :-\
Please dont tell me its fab - I have enough to be getting on with...
and the box is quite big so sneaking it past my dearly beloved might not be easy...
and I promised myself I wouldn't...
and its nearly beer o'clock...
which means its TOO easy to ping my bank card later tonight when I have had the Friday night game/bevvy!
15mm WWII command figure and 2 Priests.
15mm 1806 Prussians
And, latest project from the Mrs...
Number two child, due in the summer! :P
28mm football/soccer figures for "the beautiful game" by THW
Interesting to see that 28's & 15's still dominate the hobby...
OK, so how do we usurp their position with 10mm? :-B :D
Aye Dreadfleet. This month's White Dwarf is nothing but page after page of adverts for it so i guess the development costs have been extensive...
Can't say i've overly impressed.
Tomorrow's War on the other hand...HOTLY anticipated. Come on Pd, get some decent sci-fi figures in...

You had me worried where that was going for a minute there... was thinking, WHOA, way too much information..!, then noticed the second bit! Good luck (rather than congrats at this stage ;)
Dreadfleet - i didnt know man o'war so cant compare. Havent played yet but the rules do look like they could be fun. The ships are probably a matter of taste but in my opinion most of them look ace and some are really really nice (for me its a tie between the skaven hollowed out giant angler fish and the mechanical squid kraken thingy). Main thing for me is that the models will be good fun to paint and my son is really up for it - getting him to play a naval game with quasi historical concepts (winds and sails etc) mean that he is taking a step nearer playing with proper toys - cant be a bad thing.
Add to that - any excuse to put on a pirate voice has got to be a good thing
It's only 10mm for me.
I do have some 28mm War of the Roses figs (mainly Perry plastics) but these are hardly "on the go" at the minute.
Currently basing my 1/2400th WW1 capital ships. Just finished the battlecruisers for the Brits and Germans, about to start on the battlewagons, cruisers and destroyers after that. Using more Polyfilla than a seventies council house. :o
Not a lot "on the go" at all to be honest, and very little in non-10mm:
- 3mm Modern Soviets as opfor for my Swedish...
- 3mm USMC & Iraqis for GW1
- a few random-ish fantasy figs for RPGing
Plenty of 10mm undercoated ready to go though :D
3mm ? Blimey I hadn't realised that scale existed ! Or is it heroic 2mm ? :)
3mm stuf is getting better - lots of stuff now, OO through Fighing15's in thye UK, Pico ? in the US. TD from Tumbling Dice, and not just aryplanes.
IanS
I get my O8 from KR Games - nice guys, supported us at Nikfest 8)
Oh - and cheaper than Fighting 15s & they'll split packs / sell you individual items [O8 stuff comes usually as packs of 15]
Very, very little on the go other than 10mm. Some 2mm ECW sort of in the frame and 3mm Western desert at some point in the future. There may be the odd bit of 15mm as well.
Greetings
Just finished painting sample ACW 1/600 OO infantry.
15mm WW2 NW Europe 1944-45 British, some 1944-45 Germans, and 1944-45 Burma Gurkhas
Loads of other stuff that should get started mind you.
Regards
Edward
28mm Imperial Romans (Warlord)
DP
2mm indian army (Hydaspes) and 6mm persians and greeks (marathon)
Lego pulp adventures :D
6mm German divisional command for a Spearhead division
6mm Napoleonic Swedish division
Other 6mm odds and bits to tidy up loose ends on many 99.5% complete projects!
15mm ECW - a project that I shouldn't have undertaken before looking at a 10mm option
6mm terrain - an ongoing and likely to be lifetime project
10mm terrain for my new AWI chappies
15mm Sci fi for Gruntz
28mm Scf Fi for Tomorrows War
28mm ACW for Brother to Brother
28mm Mexican-American War
And of course the 10mm stuff
10mm Elves for Warmaster
10mm Jap Tanks for BKC
10mm Franco Prussian French/Prussian Armies bought yesterday at Skelp. Sorted both armies out today and will use Rank and File or Black Powder

Good purchase sir!
Someone else wanting my Black Powder FPW modifications then? ;)
I've got a few 28mm pulp and fantasy figures that I'm painting up and then sticking on eBay.
Then it will be all 10mm.
6mm Epic Armageddon, units and terrain/scenics.
I started a pair weeks ago 28mm "pike-shot&Zombie" project.
28mm League of Augsburg,
28mm "Secret Project"
15mm Ancients; various stuff,
15mm English Civil War in Scotland and Ireland (sounds like an oxymoron, but it aint)
Possibly some 20mm 19th Century stuff, waiting to hear back on that.
28mm Halloween stuff, if I get the time.
28mm for Song of Blades and Heroes and Mutants and Death ray guns, Trauma and Skirmish Trauma.
I've just finished "steampunking" a USB memory stick which was quite fun.
In wargaming I'm rebasing my old 25mm Romans for Hail Caesar and filling out the army with a couple of packs of plastic auxilia cavalry.
Currently working my way through some 15mm Vikings for a friend, next up will be some 1/600th Coastal Forces boats to do, I have a variety of 6mm Napoleonics sitting on my desk awaiting my attention to finish off and some 28mm Napoleonics too which I was going to experiment on but will probably pack away for a while.
So, not much then. ;D
fantasy pirate ships, fantasy pirate islands, fantasy pirate monsters etc. ad nauseum
In 28/30mm I am assembling & painting before December 16th, 120 Starship trooper Mobile Infantry, 80 Arachnid Warriors, 3 Plasma Bugs, 9 blister/blaster bugs, and 6 Hoppers ;)
Trying to get ready for our Boy Scout troop Christmas party, the boys voted and want me to provide miniature wargaming entertainment for the overnight party instead of the usually all night video gaming marathon :D
Sooo, I am beginning to really really dislike superglue :P
And then I will finish my 28mm Gladiator minis for Two Hour Wargames' Red Sand, Blue Sky gladiator combat rules :d
Hmmm. . . when do I have time to paint my 10s :-\
More timecast terrain, for next Saturday! :o
I've just ordered some 1/4800 Napoleonic ships for some 'Trafalgar' action [having picked that up for a tenner in the WH 50% sale]; still got some 3mm moderns to paint...and thinking of flogging the vast majority [if not all!] of my 28mm - anyone want some?! :)
Got around 200 photos to take for the remainder of the Algy comics, just been to busy to get stuff done Did manage to undercoat and first coat of paint on my Samurai apes :D
In the usual wargames butterfly manner:
* 1/600th American Civil War riverine naval
* 28mm Italian Wars - trying to get a 'Condottiere' campaign going at the club
DP
Desperately trying to finish off two remaining projects from 2011 list:
28mm English Border Reivers
15mm Russian Naps (artillery)
2012 list already compiled :D
Completing 28mm Napoleonics. Somewhere I have 15mm Revolutionary Wars figures where to finish. Looking at either 1/600 or 1/300 WW2.

I am doing THE CHARGE OF THE LIGHT BRIGADE in 6 mm... BACCUS "proxies" easy to convert... Lancers and Light Dragoons ready... have to paint the Hussars though...
bookholic
just finished a modest sized GNW swedish army for Might & Reason, thr Saxon-Russian opponents are about half finished. I used 20mm plastics for this and they turned out quite nicely..maybe thats even the only conflict where 20mm plastics can be reasonably employed. As far as i can see that, Zvezdas GNW range is the only one which is at least somwhere near completition..you just have to be a little bit imaginative when it comes to generals..ah and you have to convert pikemen and there are no figures with carpus hats..you have to sculp your one ones. Well, but apart from that (not considering the fact that the colour hardly sticks to the models...) it has been o.k. [wont do that again..]

Ooh that sounds interesting. Crimean war is one of those so nearly tempting periods
Well. t is my third try... in the Crimea I mean... but ONLY the Charge of the Light Brigade... nowadays I think before what game I am going to play... and then do accordingly... I will not build a single Russian figure... it is only the charge itself that interests me... so I "convert" the main characters: Raglan, Airey, Nolan, Lucan and Cardigan (but also JEMMY etc...)... then it is half role playing half wargame...
Nearly done by the way... (If someone would have told me I will do "conversions in 6 mm" I would have laugh myself dead! ;D).
Cheers

20mm WWII in soft plastic (mainly)
I just finished painting my ships for GW's Dreadfleet - more pics on my blog link below if you can cope with such heresy
(http://i615.photobucket.com/albums/tt239/goatmajor/Dreadfleet/DSCF1490.jpg)
They look really nice. How does the game play?
Agreed - they do look great 8)
Just finished five 15mm Arthurian armies ( Pict, Saxon, Irish and two British ) for Glutter of Ravens rules. Just for a change. Now back to work on that lead mountain of Pendraken AWI :o
Fifth edition Car Wars

My cars are exclusively Division 5 (compact cars). I upscaled the bases and turn key by 50% so that the Matchbox cars would fit on the bases. Then I built roads and forgot to account for the increased size of the bases. Oops.

What a waste. Still, the arena looks good:

Just finished 6mm colonials for one client and some 6mm Napoleonics for another client. Both had time constraints. I've got some Airfix plastic Naps for another client (ugh).
For me, I've got to finish off my 6mm Napoleonic Austrians that I've had going for 18 months.
Then it's an order for some Pendraken WWI
Lots of 28mm figures for the WD3 imaginations game in April. Then a sprinkling of Necrons and Ogre Kingdoms before back my Pendraken AWI
Currently slapping a coat of paint on some Mig 15s and some Sabres for a little Bag the Mig game thats coming up shortly. I hope to have better luck in this one as Mexican Dave gave my 109s a thrashing in our last outing of Bag the Hun. Oh, and its 1/300 scale.

Hell's teeth - seems like only (the day before) yesterday I was unwrapping that 1st edition...and loving it. I love what you've done with Matchbox cars - might have to see when my 5 yr-old's not looking that closely at his cars :d
Nik - even with your doggy danmage bill you can afford £1each.

True enough Ian...hmm... :-\ :)
I'm working on the excellent French Revolutionaries form Battle Honors! It's a pitty that this range did not get the attention it deserved; and a good excuse for me to buy some larger (well, still 15mm though) figs than 10mm ;)
Oh and the range is now available in Europe via Timecast, which is another good reason to get the revolutionary business started :ar!
I still have six boxes of 28mm Napoleonics to assemble and paint before SHE lets me start on 10mm but during our week away I got 3 boxes assembled and ready to paint whilst SHE was on my laptop computer doing her Family History - so I am a lot nearer than i was a week ago.
I also picked up some incredible red/brown door mats at Wilkinsons - 75p each and each one will make three of four ploughed fields - now I just have to make several yards of hedges and stone walls - there's always something!
Itching to start 10mm - hopefully by the time of the 20th bash I will be ready :)
15mm Scots Islemen & Scots Common from Feudal Castings for BBDBA/DBMM. I'm also painting up a few 28mm Fantasy Dwarves and Lizardmen for Song of Blades & Heroes.
I've got some Old Glory dark age Scots and Gripping Beast Vikings on the sidelines, but am thinking of selling them as I am running out of space. 28mm and Asian apartments don't mix.
:)
At the moment loads of 28mm Flintloque stuff - pics at my blog (http://www.comment-deleted.blogspot.co.uk)
15mm for Mogadishu using Force on Force Rules
(http://dereksweetoys.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/Deltas.jpg)
More on blog at http://dereksweetoys.com/?cat=22 (http://dereksweetoys.com/?cat=22)
Other than the Pendraken 10mms, I'm half way through a batch of Khurusan Miniatures 15mm Kofunjidai Japanese.
I'm still - just about - hanging on to my resolution to not paint any 28mm figures this year...but my resistance is crumbling. Badly.
All because of Empire of the Dead from West Wind...I'm working out how to do it using Pendraken figures - but 28mm Steampunk is cool <)

Damn you, damn you sir...!! :d
I knew, I knew, even before I copied & pasted
Empire of the Dead + Westwind, I knew that it was a resolve-obliteratingly bad idea. I justified it with "yeah, but Steampunk IS cool" and, when I saw it, "hmmm, the eldest would like this, she'd play with this - what a good parent am I!!"
Some more stuff to "smuggle" in after Triples I suspect!!!
I've got some 1/72 plastics (currently a B-17), and some other infantry. :P
Some 28mm Weird War 2 stuff, there's a piccy of it so far on my blog http://gordonsgaming.blogspot.co.uk/
I'd be interested to hear how you get on with SoTR Gordon. I have loads of the stuff and I simply find it a very poor game with loads and loads of replication across the ranges to sell more models.
We've only tried it out in a not-so-weird 20mm game, and it seemed to play fine, but I can see what you mean, any German leaving his bunker without werewolves and/or zombies is asking for a good kicking. If I was looking to play this competitivly the Mecha wouldnt even be considered, best bang for your buck for the Americans has to be a rather boring Sherman, more firepower, better armour and faster, so why go with the Mech? Simples, it looks cool! There's a whole load of posts on this subject on the West Wind forum that nearly all of the tourney lists are badly lacking in the weird factor. As far as trying to sell more models, I find it a refreshing change that they dont insist on only West Wind stuff being used at their events, you can use whatever you want as long as its What You See Is What You Get. But I'll keep you posted once me mate get his Mech Grenadiers painted.

Excellent - I *am* pleased that I continue to be such a bad influence on my brethren :d <) :d
You just wait until I've got the rulebook in my hands (come on Royal Mail...) and start bunging up 10mm ideas - although, of course, that's going to be in addition to the 28s methinks...so it won't save me any money!
Some 1:2400 SYW ships being assembled at the moment.
http://broadfront.blogspot.ca/2012/06/assembled-ship.html
15mm Sci-fi and some starships to sort.
Along with clearing out all my old 6mm which never sees the light of day.
15mm late medievals - needing pikemen. Anyone got any they are getting rid of - painted/unpainted??
Nosher a little bit of an AAR on my blog mate, played a treat btw.
I bought Super Dungeon Explore last week- a dungeon crawl boardgame based on Japanese 'chibi' (apparently) console role playing games from the late 80s/early 90s. Legend of Zelda that sort of thing I guess.
http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/92190/super-dungeon-explore
Its great fun, my 5 year old son loves it (needs some tactical assistance) as its got loads of fancy coloured dice, lovely dungeon map boards tokens and most importantly 50 odd plastic minis that are beautifully sculpted. He insisted I paint his favourite character first, the Royal Paladin, with blonde hair and brown eyes to match his.
(http://i.imgur.com/YGk2Vl.jpg) (http://imgur.com/YGk2V)
A real different style to paint after doing hordes of 10mm NVA!
Cool 8).
Very nicely done 8)
And very nice it is too. I can see why he's fascinated. :)
Very nicely done.
Me, being a restless kinda guy besides my 10mm TYW army I am currently involved in:
- some 20mm plastic SYW cavalry and Prussian grenadiers
- 20mm modern soldiers for Tomorrow's War and some plastic kits to convert on the side
- 28mm nazis by Bob Murch
- Some 28mm werewolves for Witchfinder General
Then I have quite a few primed 28mm Dark Age standing around (Saxons and Vikings) who have been steadily gathering dust for about a year....
(http://i.imgur.com/vtKIhl.jpg) (http://imgur.com/vtKIh)
Some more Super Dungeon Explore minis for your perusal!
Those look so cool! Where did you get them? :D
They are from a boardgame called Super Dungeon Explore that my son and I have been playing.
Nice! My teenage daughters would like hose as well.

I just thought I'd show you guys what I have been doing amonst other stuff, first up my 28mm townfront to go in my WFB/general wargames scenery, its kind of ambiguous so I can use it for loads of different stuff in 28mm (40K/zombies/wildwest kind of buzz)

Many thanks guys, :D its the first time I've used my new camera, my old one is rubbish so I couldn't get any shots of anything in detail before until now. I must say, im quite pleased with this piece, I think its the final bit to my 28mm town as Im going to get my 15mm scifi city off to a proper start. The 28mm stuff is taking up a lot of room so I'd best scale down!

Not finished the construction yet, billboard to add behind scrapyard (with second moving spotlight) and a few bits of details before I can start painting/spraying. I'll post some more updates when I've done a bit more) Im just starting to try lighting effects in my models, so after this I can start the piece with powerstation/reactor (+warning lights) refinary/recycling centre and illuminated warehouse (probably if I can fit all 3 buildings on the base, the flashing strip led I recovered from my sons old scooter has a big powerpack, so I gotta incorporate that on the base first and build around it with the rest) After that I'll do a lesuire quarter of the city (shops/entertainments/food courts etc) and then a civvy quarter.
After that I'll start my Warmaster terrain Lizardmen, orky and general fantasy themes, maybe a farm and a village (Oh and I'll be fitting in all my other various 10/15/28mm minis in between that :o ;))
