Title: GR56 20mm Quad AA?
Post by: Luddite on 25 September 2011, 03:27:01 PM
Just a quick one again.

Does anyone have images of / know if the GR56 20mm Quad AA is this?

That is, is it the static emplaced gun rather than on a mobile platform?

Cheers
Ludd

Doint know about the model, but they are both same, when deployed you dropped the trailer off.

I have some of the single 20mm models and they come as 3 parts, gun, barrel and trailer. So it is easy to leave the trailer separate and have them ground mounted (which was the firing position).

Not sure the PD trailer is really right for having sitting around empty as it has a solid floor, and the one I had with a 1/35th kit was just a frame (but from a practicality point of view I can see why a 10mm one is better as a solid based trailer).

Do you know where the photo is from - it looks a nice museum, I'm guessing not in the UK.
