Hi

Which version of the sherman was used at el alamein.

I know it was an early one but which code would do the job.

Mainly Sherman II M4A1 so BR44 and some Sherman III M4A2 BR34. Fairly sure latter has sand shields on the model, uncertain on former though.

It is what was supplied, shouild all have the small mantlet as well. The actual models were M4(ShermanI), which has the welded hull, and M4A1(Sherman II) with welded hull. Regimnents would have uniform types of Sherman although the squadrons could have different vehicle types , brigades maybe....
