Post by: old smokie on 05 September 2011, 08:28:03 PM
anyone have any info on what's happening with Wargames South.

All their products have "CATALOG SUSPENDED" next to them ?, they are not responding to emails. Been trying to contact them about an order, nothing on the website either tried telephoning but it  just rings

Hi Old Smokie.

Some idiot with a JCB dug through a fairly large telephone cable in Wargames South's hometown, causing major disruptions to lines in that area.
I know that they were 'off line' for well over a week (along with many other people in that vicinity)...It sounds as if there are still problems.
If I hear anything more, I'll let you know.

Cheers - Phil.

with a JCB

Out of curiosity, wishing to be bilingual as it were,  - I can find JCB as a manufacturer of heavy equipment; its there some particular kind of heavy equipment usually called "a JCB"?

@ lentulus

a JCB in the UK is an excavator bucket on the front and rear of the vehicle, see the link below for a picture

Hence the old joke about "what's yellow and looks good on an estate agent (realtor)?" You know the answer.  :D
