Niiiiice! :D
Simply awesome :-bd
One question; how long does it take you, from start to finish, to paint up such a Battlegroup?
Dont ask Nik such questions unless you want to be incredibly depressed.
The (depressing) answer is in the painting diary: total elapsed time = 5 hours 30 minutes!

They're right...it's not depressing though, is it? ;) :P ;D
Hi Nik,
Just read your painting diary; brilliant to see how you're able to speed up the process and still come up with top notch models. Might be a basic question but what size brushes do you use to paint the various stages of your little masterpieces?

I use:
- 6: for basing
- 4: for vehicle base colours
- 2: for base colours
- 1: for highlights
- 2/0: for 'big'detail
- 5/0: if I'm being obsessive & want my eyeballs to bleed ;) :D [ie not very often]
The trick to painting quickly is to use your experience to know where you can take some shortcuts - and thinking these through so that you've got a high level of confidence that they'll work...and then testing...
It's also useful to use the biggest brushes that you can get away with, keep a steady hand & move quickly: the longer you look at something / think about it, the more you'll be inclined to slow down. If something needs further attention / redoing / tidying up, I'll reposition it on my painting stand at 90 degrees so that I know to come back to it: but I move on straightaway so I don't get distracted.
Oh - and supreme confidence is required - know & believe that you can paint fast...and you can.

Thanks Nik, really appreciate your help. Perhaps one day I'll have a couple of armies that can take to the field in anger :-[
Thanks again
