Couldnt resist taking a picture of the start on my understrength Panzer batallion for my new DAK project.
Its aimed at late spring/early summer 1941, and is missing a 'heavy' panzer company of Pz4 E/F s (using Micromark lists).
I just love Panzer 3s. These are supposed to be Pz3 G's- but without a Pendraken model, I took someones advice and used a E hull with a L turret (minus the smoke launchers and with a cut down gun). Its not exactly right, but it will do until a G model arrives (hint hint!)

Nicely understated. They look as if they're just back from the desert. Are the DAK emblems decals?
Nice job!

Random question, can you remember the code number that was on the listing? 1/144th gets his decals from the same place as us, so I could get add them to my list when I order next.

Couldnt find a code number for the decals. They were listed as "Y-Kraft True 1:144 to 1:72 Scale Decals - DAK - Deutsches Africa Korps - White"

Ah right, no worries then. I'll wait until his shops back online and check the listings.

Thanks for that, I've just checked, and it looks like he's found a different supplier for those ones.
Armour done, infantry done, just need to finishing the basing, and the two motorcycle companies are on their way to being finished (hard work to put those together I must say!).
Considering scrapping the MG32 figures in favour of deployed MG42 figures. Not hisotircally accurate but more obvious on the table that they are supposed to be MGs! Reckon the Motorised Machine Gun battallion will look great when its on the table!
heres a finished pic of the armour, all based up.

Not the easiest models to put together but some pinning with brass rod solved everything! Unfortunately I ran out of bases so just these finished so far- 5 more bases ready to go.
The good old 88!

Lovely model and thanks for the advice on whoever it was on here that posted the consturction guide to this, as otherwise I would have been lost!
The motorbikes are great. I always had a soft spot for troops with nothing more than three wheels and a pair of goggles for protection. They can be surprisingly effective. 8)
Heres the infantry and some more bikes
