About time I put something worthwhile on the forum instead of faescitous remarks.
Now it's everyone elses turn to pass comment! :P
Thanks to everyone who has given me advice, esp Dazza and AndyMac.
These are my AWI American, from the Saratoga Campaign.
(As usual, awful photos, they look pretty good in real life, will try and get some in proper daylight once flags arrive, then they will do the figures credit!)

Good work, the flags will finish those off nicely! 8)
Coming along nicely :)
Glad to be of some help m8.........
looking great!!! are you collecting both armies for Saratoga ? what rules are you going to use ?
Nicely done mad lemmey 8)
Three of us at MKWS are using Black Powder.
Three of us decided to do AWI, Brian got the French (said they were the easiest to paint) and John grabbed the Brits, so, I got the Americans :'( But I'm laughing now as i'm a long way ahead of my colleges ;D.
I went for the Saratoga campaign, partly due to it being a slightly less formal part of the uniforms , partly because of the 'Freeman's farm' scenario in BP. Not sure I how they will fit in with the French, oh well...
Sounds like a nice collaboration - how long until these see action then? ;) 8)
Well, the French, being nearly all white, are mostly done, just waiting on the new line Command pack (hint hint)! ;D
The Brits have painted their light infantry and one line unit, so will be a few months yet!
It all gives me more time to get more units finished (there are four units with hunting shirts already done, but the photos of them were even worse and I couldn't bear to post them, I'll try taking some outside later) :D 8)
Should meet the May deadline, a year late!
Very nice Mad Lemmy!
Nicely Done Wil, Keep up the great work.
Andy
Thanks for all the feedback gentlemen... 8)

Very spiffy, Will !!
Cheers - Phil
Blimey, Will, where did all these spring from? You must be painting day and night. I'm impressed.
And I see you've included the militia regiment of Colonel Hiram J. Random. Like the Duke of Plaza Toro, "he led his regiment from behind, he found it less exciting". :D
A VERY GOOD attempt I would say! =D> Hope your mates get theirs done sooner rather than later so that you can get them in action before May(?).
P.S. Out of interest, my SYW Pendraken foot are in 4 files in 2 ranks on 1 inch square bases but I've often thought I could never get away with that if I venture into the AWI using Pendraken's AWI range (of course). Besides, I think the AWI calls for a looser formation than the European theatre of the SYW. What size are your bases? Yours look as they could be as much as 60 mm wide?
I'm liking those British troops.
I'm staying away from AWI - even though the figures look great. I don't need another horse and musket set of figures to add to the lead mountain, and we hardly ever play H&M as it is...
British = Two middle stands are 40x30, outside stands are 20 x 30mm
Americans are on 60x30mm so both have a frontage of 120mm.
16th Dragoons
Less in the unit than my American Cavalry.

Very nice, this is another project on my list!
Suoer looking army, well done! :-bd
How do the numbers on the wound markers work Will?
One number is unit number.
Numbers go 1-3, then S as we mostly play Black Powder.
S is shaken.

Nice idea
We then add counters if your over S.
For instance if you take four failed saves it equals shaken and plus one (affects morale but doesn't stay).
Couple of Timecast farm buildings.

And some more, still trying to get the forces for 'Freeman's Farm' sorted! I orignially started these for the painting competition, but did not get them done in time (and I'm still waiting for John to do his share)!

Not really... 18 figures in 2 weeks. 120 Ancients starting today.
That's a bit better than three painted figures in the last 14 years. :-[
I'll let myself off with the number of figures that I've sculpted. ;)

Nice work!
Very nice Will.
Mad Lemmey,
I've been a long time lurker on the forum who should really post more.
I have always enjoyed viewing your (prolific) output! I was impressed with your work and battle reports on the Falklands War and have used it as inspiration to crack on with painting my Falklands figures.
Always look forward to seeing and reading your work.
Cheers,
Scolty
Thank you all.
I swear you paint more in a day than I do in a year!
Fess up! How many bound daemons do you have doing all of this painting for you. ;) :D
Mike.....I've told you before.
Will takes the wee men into his school, and uses child labour to get them painted. ;) ;D
Cheers - Phil
Didn't Lord Shaftsbury ban that type of thing ?
