Title: Codes suitable for Berlin 1945
Post by: Zbigniew on 15 July 2011, 01:15:37 PM
Hi,
can you recommend some figure codes suitable for German last defenders of Berlin 1945?
I am looking for figures to represent:
combined wermaht units,
volksturm grenadiers,
ss nordland and charlemagne division units,
staff

?

Pretty much any of the standard German figures will suit. I would alos mix in some DAK and a few selected figures from the Ardenne/Winter kit codes. Of particular use would be GR144, GR164, GR165 & GR168. SCW range could provide figures suitable for Volksturm but I don't have any so can't give specific codes. Have a look at some of the Home Guard codes too;

Late war WWI would also fit - ancient kit hauled out of store

Thank you guys!
I was thinking of using some of the DAK figures as you suggest (because of caps) for example
GR147 but I was affraid they are in shorts  :) , arent they?

Is there anywhere a picture of GR144, GR164, GR165 & GR168 codes?

One more question about German WW2 figures. Are there any greatcoat infantry figures in the range?
If yes, which codes?

The Winter Equipment and Ardennes packs (GR104-112 & GR124-126) include some greatcoated figures (and some with camo smocks over greatcoats) can't give more precise details though.
