Title: a new model of the French 75mm gun
Post by: Sunray on 02 July 2011, 02:59:42 PM
My Pendraken models arrived this morning - God is that the time !! Included were some French 75 guns (SCW 103) is one of their many codes.  And..some very large tyres/wheels (in 10mm scale )that obviously fell of the back of a Pendraken lorry. (Thanks Leon)

By cutting the stays on the existing gun axle, I was able to fit the modern tyres - and thus create the 1930s version of the 75 that was to see action in WW2 and stay in service until the late 1940s (some may have gone to Indo China).

Leon, give those wheels a code. Pictures of these and my Soviet 130mm gun - converetd from a 17 prd - will follow.

Cool, we can add the gun + new wheels as a new code.

But - the large wheels are correct for moderise guns, and it lsated till the 80's in Mexico (it's mentioned without a full entry in Janes A&A 1980).

I'd certainly like to see those photos - sounds like some easy conversions to add interesting artillery options.

Cheers,
