Title: WWII - North Africa
Post by: DFlynSqrl on 30 June 2011, 05:28:30 AM
This is my first time jumping into the 10mm scale, so the painting quality may be a little lacking.  I'm starting to get the hang of 10mm though.  Lovin' the Pendraken miniatures so far and can't wait to get these all painted so I can play my first game.  Painful thing is I'm already looking at the other Pendraken ranges thinking about future projects...  :-\

Last 3 posts of my blog are for this project.  Mix of DAK and 8th Army, if you care to take a look.

** EDIT:  Figured out how to show the pix instead! **

10 Stands of Infantry  (I put 3 riflemen, 1 bren and a thompson on each)

Command stands for the 8th Army:

Here's my CO and 2 HQ's.  (For the CO I attempted to sculpt a table, so boxes and a rolled tarp on the ground)

Glad to see I'm on the right track then!  I'm saving my tanks for last as I'm still researching camo.  I'm choosing all my equipment around the Gazala time-frame.

More toys for the 8th Army done.  I have a couple of Bedfords and some Matilda II's.  There's actually some camouflage on the tanks, but after my reading I decided to subdue it a lot with dust.  I like mine toys to look used.   ;)

It took me a while, but I finally finished up my DAK infantry.  We're having a heat wave here in Texas right now.  I think we're up to 33 straight days of 100+ degree weather (converter said that was 37+ Celsius).  It should be inspirational for North Africa, but just hasn't helped me in that department!  Anyway, here they are...
