He was, actually, a Kurd - and look where it got them. ;)

Well, he certainly had a bash at unifying the Arab world did he not and is described as an Arab by culture, language and inclination? And it's shorthand :)

Just need to get cracking on the Crusaders now... :) And then we can have a bit of this [for Leon's benefit - he's not seen this one]:
Trailer:
Top-notch...and with the added bonus of Eva Green 8)

Meaning the handful of Arab tribes making a skimpy living on the fringes of the Turkish world that was the Islamic middle east, be it in language, customs, literature, military styles?
And that "shorthand" could be used as a useful cloak for all sorts of language that I'd offend people even by quoting.
Eva Green does look utterly stunning in this :).
Great looking army :) :) Looking forward to seeing a AAR with those chaps in.
The Arab figs are a good all round fig for all Islamic armies of the period Ive got them in my Andalusian army as Berber foot and horse, also used Pendraken Normans in the Andalsusians which gives a good a good mix.

Forigve my ignorance - but what would be a better shorthand then? Turks? Muslims?
[I'll be using 'Crusaders' or "Kingdom of Jerusalem" as shorthand for the opposing forces BTW so if that's not right, help me out! - I'd use 'Europeans' or 'Christians' but those could be useful cloaks too...actually, a lot of them *are* wearing cloaks... ;)]

That's the one...which way round though? ;) ;D
Great army! very inspiring!
I see you opt for fill the stand with 5 miniatures per row. you build up your armies with a surprising speed! Goood job
Saladin's army and state are often referred to as Ayyubids, after his actual name, so there's a good compromise.
Cool - thanks :)
I'm not going to modify the thread title though because then all these posts wouldn't make sense!
