Most of us use Kestrel 1/148 N gauge buildings. They are cheap &cheerful  and with a few French tweaks like plastic card shutters added to the windows and a smear of painters chalk and whitewash over the bricks, soon look European . The window frames are white, I usually remove or paint dark.
Railway buffs like their models neat and tidy, ours look better neglected and rundown ! Why is that ??

The KD27 flats are very useful. I motified these iinto middle east buildings with flat roofs. The big town station makes a good row of cottages and buildings for £15.  Cottages begin around £3.70.

Trust this is useful

Sunray out.

Best simply google 'Kestrel N gauge buildings' and you will get a range of UK mail order firms. Prices may vary on stock so shop around the retailers if you see a model you like. The Arnhem game on the photo section of this site has a selection of Kestrel buildings.
Ever little helps !

Kestrel is what we use for VBCW cracking little models with loads of potential. Well worth grabbing a few.
The rural farm house is a big fav' as we use it for 17th and 18th C as well.
