Title: ECW in Yorkshire
Post by: Sandinista on 19 June 2011, 12:04:56 PM
Here is the start of my 1642-3 Yorkshire ECW project.

These troops represent the trained bands and clubmen of the West Riding mill towns (Leeds, Halifax, Bradford)who rose up in support of Lord Fairfax. The flags and colours are speculative.

To come are the foot regiments of Sir Thomas Fairfax and Sir Matthew Boynton and the cavalry troops of Sir Thomas Fairfax, Sir Henry Fowlis and Sir Thomas Mauleverer and dragoons of Sir Christopher Wray and Thomas Hatcher.

Names are all of people who fought with Fairfax in Yorkshire though troop type are speculation.

Facing this will be the geordie rabble of the Earl of Newcastle.

Double ranked minis look sooo good in 10mm  :D

Your army looks pretty good, I like the banners also, gives it the extra touches.  Are they based on a 40x20 base or bigger?
