Title: what can you do in 10mm
Post by: Maenoferren on 03 May 2011, 02:14:11 PM
As there have been a couple of posts relating to Ravenloft and heroquest in 10mm I was wondering what else we could convert. Space Hulk is an idea - using the alien creatures instead of genestealers. The GW car one (the one that I had outon the table last night thinking it would be so cool small scale and can't remember what it is called):(

I would replicate Leading Edge "Aliens" game in small scale. Several times ago I saw a stunning Britania boardgame custom table, with army token replicated with 10mm miniatures. I think several boardgames could use small miniatures instead tokens.

P.S.:The GW cars combat game was "Dark Future". The problem for this game could be the cars itself. The N scale I saw didn' t refit very well with 10mm. Better converted cars from old Gallob micromachines I think.

Dark future that's the one cheers. I was thinking of more a line of figures for the games eg a whole range of cars etc :)

A range of modern cars and industrial vehicles could be a great think, at least for me. We could make a request...... :)

I'm trying to convince my kids WH and WH40k would be worth it.

Simple option replace all references to inches with centimeters, and instantly double you play space (An reduce costs to 10%)

or my favourite

Mount multiple figures on one base.  Play the game the same, what you are doing is fighting with units of 10 fire teams of 3 men, instead of 10 man units.  Would make more sense- especially stuff like movement and ranges. With the fantasy you can get 4 figs 2x2 on a 20mm base - your units beome 10 wide and 8 deep in figures - far more impressive, but you play the game the same (ie 1 base is still the 'man', it just has 4 figures on it)

Hi every body
after the project (Ravenloft) in 10mm (and my heroquest already in 25mm), i work on Space Hulk of course and BloodBowl (but there is a big difficulty to make a team with pendraken mini)

This would tempt me back into WFB! Just need to convince everyone at my club it'd work!  :(

Yeah Warmaster is 10mm WHFB
and FWC is 10mm 40 Kay

both great rulesets that crimp the style of the min/maxing Uber-List-Selector type player.

I did Space Hulk with the Pendraken Aliens some years ago, I've got about 3 sets of the original game plus the add-ons so I could put really large layouts together. This reminds me it's still sitting in box in the garage, probably time I got it all out and dusted it off!

BloodBowl in 10mm - What a fantastic idea!! Of course I suppose it would have to be generic fantasy football teams rather than BB specifically. Love it  :-bd

Chariots? Try here: http://www.chariotmaster.de/ (http://www.chariotmaster.de/).

Or google "warhammer chariot races rules" for some from the Citadel Journal from ages ago.

Cheers, Martyn
