Could anyone reference to the corresponding Pendraken catalog to create the bestiary for the HERO QUEST miniatures? I am toying with the idea to recreate the same in 10mm. Thanks.

Chaos Warlock ??
Skeletons  - easy
Fimirs  - ??
Mummies - easy
Orcs - easy
Goblins - easy
Zombies - easy

4 Wizards of Morcar ??

Thanks.

;) What a coincidence!!! Over the last few weeks i was also thinking about transfering Heroquest to 10mm!

These could be some candidates for the fimir:

When will they be released???   :-\

The gargoyles are also easy to replace:

Some decent chaos warriors or fun lovin chaos sorcerers would be really nice !!!!  :d
In full armor with some "oldschool" demonfaced shields, horned helms, sickles, whips, oversized axes and swords!!!  :d :d :d

By the way !!! Look at this :

Me too!  Although I was more going to just pinch the rules and improvise the rest...

WOWWWWW!!!!! Really great pictures!

For the tiles I was thinking to resize them but don'¡t know how to do it. Any ideas? All teh material is in internet as all you know.

For the Board even should be resized but don't know how again. I would not use the rooms because there are no 1 space corridors. ;(

Let's see what other ideas to convert to 10mm.... Would like to listen your thoughts also.

Interesting idea....  it should work really well  8)

I think any simple game, like HeroQuest, Advanced HeroQuest, HeroScape, Dungeon & Dragons Boardgame, even Space Hulk (both sci-fi and fantasy variant) would work really well in 10mm scale. pretty much anything normally associated with 28mm is always easily adaptable. So really, it’s just matching the equivalent 10mm pieces to the larger ones. In effect the game would remain just the same but on a much smaller scale.

"A pocket-sized heroquest"

Repeat this sentence 3 times and you already start to feel that old legends.. demons from the ancient times are about to wake from their long slumber !
By the way, does anybody have an idea of the size of the scaled-down game mat ?

hehe, oh dear  I see a new mania coming on.... Pocket sized heroquest - it does have a ring  ;)

I`ll dig my mat out and pass on the detals a bit later today - unless someone beats me to it.

HeroScape  10mm

I`ve measured the original HeroScape board, and it is 19 squares by 26 .

But I have discovered an interesting thing. The Pendraken Dungeon tile squares measure roughly 18mm by 18mm. Whereas the Heroscape board squares measure 24mm by 24mm - hardly any saving on space. In fact, when I placed a few of my 10mm minis on the original mat (mounted individually as they are on 1 cent coins), they did NOT look at all out of place.

At best, the reduction in the size of the board isn`t going to be nearly as I dramatic as I first envisaged. I`m not so sure now it would be worth making a reduced new board at all?

However, I have just gained a wonderful new game board for my dungeons   :)

That's one way to see it. On the other hand, I was wondering at how much it could be possible to shrink the mat without harming the playability. You know, to actually have a complete pocket sized set !
With the mat containing 26x19 squared tiles, using square sizes of 15mm, this would give 39 x 28.5cm. Cutting it into two pieces of 20x28.5, this could nicely fit into two reinforced A4 (21 x 29.7cm) paper sheets. Excellent ! :)

Well, if you used the figures as they come, even clipped the bigger bases back a bit, used magnets underneath and a magnet sheet under the mat, you could make the board pretty small... what you think Cyril?

In fact I lied. I actually base my estimations on the size of my own bases (15x15 mm) :P
But considering the smallest possible set, I guess you're right. Plus, I love the idea of using magnets: you could even play while on train/plane/etc !  :-bd
