Hi everyone,
First time poster here, but I thought I'd post some pictures of my German stosstruppen for a 1918 game I have planed at my local club. I've just ordered some British to go with them to collect at Salute, which is why I thuoght I'd get around to posting these guys! :D

WOW! That is amazing!
They look really good. Impressive quality and quantity.
What rules are you using?
Great. Love the camo on the field-guns. 8)
Whats a beautifull army! I like so much the howitzer postation. My compliments!
Ehmm... do you have any pics of infantry guys in gas mask? I' m looking for miniatures to use as local militia in SF setting. Thanks!
Very nice indeed.

We're going to be using an adaptation of the TooFatLardies' rules "If the Lord Spares Us" (ITLSU). Those rules are meant for the Middle East in World War One, but I think they can be adapted to the Western Front. If they need a lot of tweaking, we may start work on a stand-alone set. We're aiming at a Divisional level game.
I have some of the Pendraken infantry in gas masks. They look very nice and compliment the other infantry well. There wasn't enough variety, though, to do everything in gas masks! I shall try and take some photos and post them.
Thanks for the comments, much appreciated :)
Really interesting army there.
I like the unusual blue-grey tone and the wierd period 'dazzle' camo is excellent.
A surprising octagonal base thing going on too. What made you choose to do them like that?
wow thats fantastic. All the little details (like the camo nets) really bring the whole army to life. Love it!!!! 8)
8) That is an outstanding army! 8)

Thanks again for the comments.
@Luddite - regarding the sort-of-hexagonal bases, I got a bit fed up with a couple of my 15mm figure bases getting "curled up corners" after a lot of use and tried snipping the corners off these bases as an experiment. I liked he way it looked and tried to adopt it consistently for the whole force. In retrospect I should probably have splashed out on some pre-cut MDF bases rather than using artists mounting board :) , but now I've started it's a bit trocky to go back!
That's a lovely looking army Sidney - top-notch 8)
Having troubles with your bases? I will happily endorse the line of bases sold here on Pendraken's site. I previously tried the thin bases from Litko Aero and had rotten results. >:( Since using Pendraken's, no such thing. Only :) s.

Yep - good point Dave: I've used bases from a load of sources over the years but have to say that Leon's laser-cut ones are great: totally consistently sized, really competitively priced & nicely (subtly) chamfered to provide a 'top' & a 'bottom'; another bonus side effect of the laser cutting is that the edges are already darkened! (they do smell funny if you sniff closely enough though ;))
The quality (density) of the MDF is great too...some others can be a little...flaky?
love the collection, the guns are nvery well done, the baseing in interesting? Love the paintwork though love to see how well they play on the table.
Ye gods! That's impressive. Love the dazzle camouflage.

Did you ever paint the British & French to go up against these ??
Hi
Great stuff, I particularly like your gun emplacements with the camouflage netting.
Take care
Andy
