I saw this on TMP and I think it sums up what nice guys you're all at Pendraken - especially Leon. I think it was a lovely thing to do and shows a compassion for another who has been hit by a tragedy. I for one applaud you and yes, I think you will have my business for the future.

I'll second the three cheers! In the short time I've been having dealings with Dave and Leon, they have both shown themselves to be stand up guys. Doesn't surprise me that they would do this, but not many companies would, certainly in these times of rising costs and reducing profit margins. They should certainly be applauded.

Thanks for the words everyone!
The guy had literally lost everything, whole house gone. Our small house fire caused enough disruption, I can't imagine what it's like to lose everything like that. It was only a few packs, but hopefully it's something to get his hobby back on track.
Really nice guys!!!

Everyone:
I'm the person that posted the message. We basically lost everything but most important my family and I were unhurt. I was at the house a couple of days ago with a contractor and found what was left of my 1980 Winter Olympics Ice Hockey program from USA/USSR game I purchase at the rink in Lake Placid when I was a teenager. Yup, that game! Just gave me a sinking feeling in the stomach. We are currently getting quotes on tearing down what remains then building a new.
Now, I have been truely amazed by the support my family and I have received. Offers of places to stay, checks and gift cards in the mail from total strangers, etc. So many clothes were donated we had to tell people, 'please no more'. My son is 17 and his best friend orgainzed a drive at this high school that raised nearly $800! He told me he did it because, 'it was the right thing to do.' This event has renewed my faith that most people are good and will help.
The fire destroyed 4 rooms in the house and the rest are completely black with soot or have water damage. Like I said above, pretty much a total loss. Smoke and water caused much more damage then the actual flames.
ON to the import stuff, :) my gaming collection. Most of the figures seem to be sort of okay. They were stored in plastic containers that for the most part kept the smoke out. Somehow the plastic didn't melt on these eventhough some stuff 5 feet closer to the fire did melt. The gaming room didn't have direct fire damage but massive smoke, heat and water damage. My terrain and table were a complete loss. Everything on my workbench is completely black. I had just finished a 1811 Spanish Cavalry division in 6mm that needs to be redone. The Pendraken figures happened to be downstairs in the living room. We had just put the christmas tree away a few days before the fire and I had left them on an end table. If I can get a good picture, I will take one someday and post it so everyone can see what a melted pile of figures look like! ;D
Sometimes 'thank you' doesn't seem like enough and this is one of those times.
Thank you Dave & Leon.
Sincerely,
Dale
Mr Dale you have my personal support. Yes, the most important thing is that you and your family are unhurt.
Best greeting!
My compliments to Pendraken staff for their generosity and support to Mr Dale. ;)

No worries, more than welcome. Keep us informed on how you're getting on.

That was a great thing to do and confirms my faith in Pendraken :)

OMG.... I just read this.
How dreadful, I`m so sorry to hear of the damage to your home, and for the trauma this must have caused. As you say, luckily your family are all safe.
If there’s anything I can do, don`t hesitate to let me know.... I have almost literally a ton of miniatures and rules I simply never use, and will happily pass anything you need along to you - complete armies and so on. Assuming I have anything you need that is.
Six.
Well done chaps.
Nice.
