I am looking for a easy-to-earn WWI skirmish ruleset which would cover the early stages (1914), where I can use armoured cars, cavalry and infantry on a 1:1 base. What ruleset would you recommend? :-\
Through the Mud and the Blood is excellent

Oooh - this sounds good! By the look it seems that it is intended rather for 28mm. But I assume that it is suitable for 10mm as well?
Scale it down?
I've heard a lot of good things about the ruleset, but have never played it I'm afraid. But at £7.00 for a pdf and free copy of the AVBCW rules, they might be worth a look.
Warhammer The Great War is fun or Price of Glory by Iron Ivan games. Or Force on Force by Ambush Alley but you have to make your own stats for vehicles.
Check "frewargamesrules.co.uk", there several suitable sets there, free.
IanS
Contemptible Little Armies by Chris Peers is a great ruleset :)

I believe that M&B is heavily used by people with 15mm figures and I think the only thing I'd do with 10mm is maybe base figures in multiples and use a mini die to show casualties till the stand was removed. Personally I aim to use it in 10mm myself for SCW as well as WWI.
We play "I aint been shot mum" with 10mm like that - 1 stand = 1/2 a section. I will do something similar for TFL 'Charlie don't surf' - put 2-3 figs on a 30mm base, and remove bases as the kills mount up.
LardyRich (the author of Through the Mud and the Blood) has just posted on the WD3 forum where he states that all the ranges in the rules are scaled to 10mm figures - so yes I guess that means they are very compatible.
