I need refugees (10mm), preferably eastern European or German citizens (late 1944 to April 1945), with carts, wagons and other items for a game I am working on for the Russian Front 1943 (post Kursk) to 1945 Berlin. Are there any companies that made these items or will Pendraken, in the future, cast these figures?
Hi
I don't know if it's permissible to mention other producers here but if you're looking for a quick fix you could look at N Gauge railway stuff like Preiser http://www.discounttrainsonline.com/N-Scale-Figures-Preiser/N_FIG_590_2.html (http://www.discounttrainsonline.com/N-Scale-Figures-Preiser/N_FIG_590_2.html) and Scalelink http://www.scalelink.co.uk/acatalog/index.html (http://www.scalelink.co.uk/acatalog/index.html) have figures and accessories that could be shoehorned to what you want.
Otherwise I'd like to second a request for generic refugees - ie flat cap, civilian suit, etc that could be plugged into SCW, WW2, VBCW, etc.
Cheers

Good idea. I'm up for them.
Can I add French,Belgian civilians too. Played an all day gne this weekend Germans v Belgians, and we had civilians getting in the way, caused havoc with my manouvers.
Add my name to the list too please Leon :D
I'm sure they can be sold on to railway entheusiasts as 'People in a hurry to catch a train' too!
But the train people won't buy em cause they dont cost enough.....
Add my vote.

I'd probably buy some - peasants for the partisans to protect.
For some values of the verb "to protect" anyway.
Add my vote too, please.
I'd definitely be up for some generic refugees usable for WWII.
+1 here too. Never can have too many civis in the way.
Would deffo like Refugees as well... prefer Eastern Euro types but any would do.
Add my vote to these too please. Could find uses in all manner of games.
Cheers,
Kev
Very good idea, but I´d prefer more generic miniatures, not just eastern refugees.
Add my vote please
Votes added!
Hi all I would also like to add my vote for refugees, women pushing prams, people pushing carts loaded with household goods etc etc
Andy
Bump, plus 1. Can we have a cart loaded with furniture and possessions as well ? :D :D
FRE15 in the French range has got refugees/civilians, with a small hand cart, if that would be of use?

Seconded.
Can't believe that in all my scouring the site for 10mm civvies for my Russian partisans I never noticed this code!
It's not the best pic of the original greens but should give an idea of them:

They look to fit the bill perfectly - Thanks!
I couldn't bear to use them in a game - too (literally) pathetic a subject. I'd be imagining my mother stumbling out of a wrecked house clutching her cat....
Just a reminder folks - we do have the BKCIV refugees and civilians supplement - downloadable as a PDF.
When it was play-tested - specifically by our Australian test group - it was a huge success and apparently great fun - with the roads getting clogged and blocked - and the need to add in some MPs to keep major junctions open. It makes the game a lot more complex admittedly but also a lot more 'realistic'.
Cheers
Mark
My bad, I hadn't seen these guys tucked away in the French list and there's a supply wagon listed amidst the WW1 ranges that will do the trick as a civilian cart. I think as a potential obstacle in terms of blocking roads they add a realistic "what if", in terms of potentially upsetting plans etc. Unscrupulous gamers may factor this into their plans. But yes you always have to respect the plight of the actual refugees and remember they are not just simple game tokens!
In the Chain of Command Blitzkreig rules you need civilians and Nuns etc
Nuns ... :o oh dear ... that sounds like trouble ;D ;D ;D
Remember Nuns should be carrying crossbows :d
"Nuns with Guns" surely, Ian. :)
