Title: Italian Horse Artillery
Post by: fsn on 10 May 2026, 07:14:07 PM
Well! Just when  you get to the end of the end, something kicks you in the artillery park!

My last planned (yes, I know that's a meaningless comment) is the Kingdom of Italy in 1813. I have happily been using French proxies for most of Napoleon's allies and yet Eugene has done me up like a kipper.

Italian Horse Artillery wore a czakpa. The dastards! They're not Polish, not even lancers, what on earth are they doing wearing a Polish lancer's hat? Of course, Polish artillery of the time wore shakos like gentlemen, so I am somewhat stuffed.

Cunning plan at the moment is to use a pack of Polish command and with a snip and a lick of paint. and doubtless many curses create a couple of artilley crew.

I think the 1809 Duchy of Warsaw horse artillery should suffice (NDW11) they wore czapkas until 18010
