Title: Greetings from New York State
Post by: Soldat7 on 06 May 2026, 09:26:16 PM
Hello,

I've been wargaming in one form or another for about 50 years.  I started with Avalon Hill board games and was introduced to 25/28mm Napoleonics by a co-worker. I've been pushing lead ever since; now mostly ACW, AWI and Ancients.  Our local group plays a variety of periods and scales, but 10mm is a relatively scale for us.  I already have some WW1 10mm (German, British and French) and plan on expanding into ANZACs and Turks (I have relatives in New Zealand and Gallipoli is on my bucket list).

So, once again, greetings to all,

Soldat7

Welcome Soldat7

If you are interested in ANZAC's and Turks you might find Paul R's old painting diary thread about that very subject of some use: https://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,10663.0.html (https://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,10663.0.html)

We play (fairly occasionally these days) WW1 games set in France in 1914 and the Middle East using Two Fat Lardies "If the Lord Spares Us" rules. There are quite a few battle reports of these spread around the forum or on my irregular blog.

Good luck with your 10mm WW1 projects!

Welcome S7. AH - check, Napoleonics - check (in my case 20mm Der Kriegspielers).
Now do ECW and ACW, solo.

Welcome Mr 7.

be interested in how you do your WWI. I have pondered doing the early part (that is 1914) when the French wore red trousers and some movement was to be had, or the real end bit (when the Americans joined) - those last few weeks when the lines were broken and there was again some movement.

Don't fancy the trenches.

Thought about the Eastern front though.
