Please drop me a note of possible lists you might like added to the FWCII list library.
I'll try my best to accommodate requests, within the boundaries set by a need to avoid potential copyright litigation.
However, you are also welcome to send me your own lists and I'll be happy to vet them and we'll find a way to get them published.
Likewise if you have thoughts on how certain factions or units should be portrayed in FWCII lists, please drop me a line here.
Enjoy!
Mark

More a skirmish game rather than a full-blown army?
I do think a few of these suggestions feel more skirmish than full on battle.
I think Mark will have a lot of work to do with all of these! Perhaps some more suggestions on the type of units would help. But feels quite hard to agree on the relative strength of different forces from different sources.
OK - Just to help 'contain' multiple (& similar) requests I've put up below a list of lists.

NOTE: those old FWCI lists marked with a * may not be able to be converted, unless we get specific written permission from the manufacturers. There are also a few more old lists, from the (now closed) Specialist Military Publications (SMP) website, FWC section, that we'll consider adding to the lists as well.
There are some 56 lists above.
This will take some time to convert to the new FWCII format and stats. Our priority will be sections A. and B. to start with, but we'll produce a delivery schedule shortly.
Thanks
Mark
Looking at the various requests - so far - I agree with fred, that many of them are probably more orientated towards a skirmish level game. FWCI did have a skirmish level game section. This has deliberately been omitted from the FWCII book, as I'd had feedback that it caused a degree of confusion.
Our plan is to put this section (unaltered) back up as a PDF, at some point in the future. So that those who want to use it can access it still. It will work equally well as it is with the FWCII rules, as it is.
Taking various of the specific requests already stated above (with a degree of interpretation:
1. Anything - Doctor Who/Star Wars/Dune/Star Trek/Battlestar Galactica/Firefly/Transformers/Blakes 7/the Expanse/Starship Trooper/Avatar/Mars Attacks/Marvel or DC universes, orientated - as a heads up, we will be very unlikely to be producing specific 'official' lists for any of these. These are heavily franchised and closely monitored from a copyright perspective.
2. There were some existing 'fan/player' produced Battletech FWCI lists available on the SMP website - we will look to make these available, but it is unlikely we will be converting these to FWCII officially.
3. There was an old fan/player FWCI Terminator Assault Wave list designed for the skirmish game - it will also reappear in the FWCI list archive.
I suspect that once the official unit and army list calculators are available that players will wish to submit their own customized personal lists for other to use, and we'll look to make a method of doing this available.
Many thanks
Mark

Indeed - there was already a list on the old SMP website :ar!
I was thinking I might get some sculpted myself ... just got to do a bit of judicious beach-combing for small crab shells to get started :D
Now we need a nautoliod , a scorpion and a seahorse looking drone to face them
Plus Golems
Is there somewhere that the original lists from first edition have been stored? Perhaps with figure suggestions?
I already have suggestions for what could be used for some of the Bug colony from the original site.
Thanks,
Micheal
Mark😀
Shouldn't there a fourth alien race in the New Pendraken Sci Fi range lists ?
Cheers - Phil.

All the old FWCI lists will be uploaded as PDFs, onto this site, for download.

Those are the kiddies, Mark. :)
I wasn't really sure if they counted.

Ak! Ak! Ak! they are to go with the existing Pendraken 'Tripod' aliens ... I am looking forward to their appearance greatly.

ERB's
Barso Mars genre would be cool. Much of it is now in the public domain so miniature ranges are a distinct possibility as long as trademarked terms such as the name of the planet weren't used. The downside being that AFVs don't really factor so the forces would be essentially infantry and cavalry.
As for my own preference(s)... like many others, I used to play FWC1 at 6mm rather than 10mm and many of the lists were based on ranges available in that scale; SMP were independent of those product ranges so supplying lists wasn't an issue. Understandably it's not going to be a priority for Pendraken to re-invigorate 6mm sci-fi gaming or ranges from other companies, many of which are now defunct. e.g.:
(OOP ranges below with company names, both 6mm. I hope this doesn't break forum rules).
Plasmablast had FCW1 lists (3 factions) on their own website.
Steel Crown had FWC1 lists on their site too, only two of which were in the published book. HLS have the Exodus wars rights but don't seem to be releasing anything.
Other stuff, more problematic with IP. Lists would be cool but, as mentioned earlier, it's not a priority for Pendraken to support other peoples' products. Even if players put fan lists together posting/hosting the lists here would probably be an issue.
The "Nottingham" company's old 6mm ranges are covered in the old lists. A newer Nottingham-like company started by former employees now has epic scale offerings. There are 3D printed ranges online for "Voidship" Troopers and their insectoid foes. Lists for these would be most welcome but are probably problematic to say the least.
I second the idea of FW1 lists seemed to cover a lot of options - so those would be good.
Personally I am looking for lists that I can use my 6mm/10mm forces for:
i.e.
Dark Imperialistic Cult based Human space empire
Corruption and co-operations of said human space empire by weird powerful alien/creatures/powers
Space elves
Evil Space elves
Green skin raiders
Alien 'bug style' horde
Oh and also:
Armies based on big stoppy robots/warmachines in a high tech world with little religion but various different political groups
My guess is these should be fairly obvious. :)
Thanks folks.
You can all be much less circumspect ;D ;D ;D
As players you can request what you like & say it how it is. Its just when it comes to Pendraken saying it, that there has to be a degree of caution.
NB: where an old figure range is definately OOP a list can be created or converted. Some very old ranges may even get remade in 10mm (potentially). But I have no issue in converting the old FWCI lists - but it will take time.
With regards to ERB & Wells. Both estates have taken up patents on terminology - Barsoom' for instance or Martian Walkers etc. and have also sold or leased these to other games/figure manufacturers. So caution is required. And anything with a direct GW reference is very much a no, no. But do check out the old FWCI lists on Waybackmachine (for now). As they might provide you with what you need.
Thanks
Mark
Is there any chance of producing an instructional video for YouTube? Might help push sales

You mean about the rules?
Interesting idea.
I was interviewed v.recently by a US blogger. Some of that was about the rules, but it was more about my approach to the Commander rules generally. I'll try & get a release date & URL.
But we'd probably need someone to run through a game & video it, to make it meaningful.
But I'll have a think.
Cheers

You could also send a complementary copy to this guy--https://www.youtube.com/@GuerrillaMiniatureGames (https://www.youtube.com/@GuerrillaMiniatureGames) he does reviews etc and has a bit of a following
Are there any notes on converting FWC1 lists? I have the rules and lists but to avoid confusion I'd rather not learn the old set just to figure out what needs to change.
