Hi all, like the topic says, who is currently playing or intends to? What armies are you using? Any inspiration gladly accepted. :)
I painted up a religious army a year of so a go- they worship Carol Vorderman. Will almost certainly paint up other armies and might even repurpose some of my 15mm Sci-Fi collection
I awaiting the Cethlapods.
Will probably use GW epic Space marines to get used to the rules.
Or bulk out my Colonial Marine forces

More new lists are on the way.
This will also include the posting up of the old FWCI lists as PDFs on the forum.
Request for new list would be welcomed. I will start a separate pinned thread specifically for these.
But ... please note lists for other manufacturers ranges and specific film or TV franchises will not be provided (officially) as the risk of copyright litigation is to high.
However, if players wish to produced lists of their own & submit them to me, via the new thread, I am happy to review them & post them up.

I am a big fan of the Neil Asher 'universe' - large, armed & armoured, paranoid crab aliens - what is not to like.
Alien Xenomorphs v Colonial Marines - Pendraken do the figures & both lists are on their way.
The new Pendraken 10mm sci-fi ranges offer a whole universe of diverse human factions & (next on the release schedule) some very exotic alien adversaries. I've got my eye's (all eight of them) on the Protz (nasty shrimp/cockroach types) and the Octarii (Cephladods rule!).
The thing with FWC is its flexibility - I am also dusting down my old Star Wars 'Battle for Hoth' Imperial force - all 3 AT-ATs are in the service bay, as I type this.

Don't have the rules (yet!) but I like the other Commander rules so why not?
Don't tell Leon but I'll probably go with Germy's 3mm minis from Brigade Models.

A CTD list might be a tough one to recreate - I can get the Scorpion droids but not really sure about the Golems.

I've got some 6mm Hammers Slammers universe kit that I may try out in a small game when I get the FWC2 rules.

It's been more than 10 years since my sci-fi factions saw the light of day so I'm looking forward to playing with the second edition rules. My existing "Red Guard" army should be playable with the old list but expanding and playing my small Orbital Combine and Edenite forces could be an issue as both are now OOP and lists could be problematic.

I think there were FWCI Orbital Combine & Edenite lists on the old SMP site - I'll ask Leon to check, as he downloaded it all into an achive. If they are genuinely OOP (which would be sad) then getting the old lists upgraded to FWCII shouldnt be an issue. I can add them to the list of lists. :D
The 'Red Guard' list should play equally well with FWCII. I trialed my old Cyber-Undead from the old list and with a few small tweaks they were just as nasty in FWCII as FWCI.

I just successfully downloaded Big Insect's Cyber-Undead list to check it works.

Great news that its still there - the Pador and Neo-Soviet lists are also on there - somewhere.
I also think I did a list for a 6mm range of giant slug, worm and armoured toxic snail aliens as well.
Cannot remember the name of the alien faction (Cimexians maybe?) or even who the manufacturer was.
Not even sure I have them any more either - I'll need to check the depth of the cupboard. But they were fun to play with.
I think there was also an index of which manufacturers models equated to which factions in the FWCI lists on the site as well - somewhere.
There are plans for a 'Droid' - 'Mech' or 'Robotic' army/faction as well, although the DRM Andryadrians (probably spelt incorrectly) are an excellent artificial life-form race to be getting along with. Of course you don't have to use the DRM 6mm models (which are still OOP I believe) but can substitute what you want to match the list.
