Ahoy everyone!
New here and just starting to explore 10mm wargaming.
Having dabbled with Flames of War in my teens but never really felt battles had the room to play out properly, 15 years later thought id scratch the itch another way.
WW2 for now - lets see what comes in the future!!
Cheers

Greetings, and welcome.
When you say "WWII" what are you thinking?
France 1940? Desert? Far East? Russian front? So much to choose from. :)
Hello and welcome! 8)
Welcome on board :) ! A good choice to move to 10mm as the games table doesn't feel so crowded compared to 15mm.

My initial thoughts were the Italian theatre to vary things up a bit - I do have a weakness for Normandy but feel thats so prevalent that a change of scene might be good
Hi
Welcome. I always think that the Italian theatre is undervalued in the wargaming world, good choice IMHO.
Cheers Paul

Nice! Great mix of mid-war armour.
Yes, we do a lot of late 1943-early 1944 Italian theatre gaming, the Sherman becomes a powerful tank when the opposition has no PAK40s or equivalent SP/tank. There's a good variety of armour, if you factor in the anti-partisan forces Axis police forces you can even field T-34/76s, ADGZ, Panzer IIJ and so on.
There's a variety of troop types too, you can have British armour with US Paras, the French Goumiers are something else, and Italians on both sides. German infantry divisions varied in quality and equipment, so it doesn't always have to be small groups of uber-hard Germans fighting off hordes of inexperienced Allies.

Well I thought I knew about tanks but I'd never heard of that one. Thanks!

Take a Churchill, swap the gun for an American 75mm off a Sherman. (You'll need to rotate it 90° due to the breach configuration)
Add coupla from Panzer III (optional)...
Advance.
