We are excited to announce that we've purchased the rights to the 10mm Battlescale range of buildings and scenic items, sculpted by Steve Clay. With his recent acquisition of the Leven Miniatures 6mm ranges, Steve is going to be focussing on the 6mm market going forward, so the opportunity arose for us to purchase his 10mm range.
The purchase includes all of the 10mm items in the current Battlescale ranges, except for the walls, hedges and bridges, will be retained by Steve to go with his 6mm buildings. All of the masters and moulds will be heading up to Pendraken HQ next month, ready for us to start production in our new resin room later this year. Steve has kindly agreed to send us a big batch of stock to keep us going until we're up and running with things at our end.
These buildings will all be integrated into our own 10mm scenery ranges and assigned new codes. We'll make sure to add a note to them all to show what the previous Battlescale product code was though, so there's no confusion when buying.
Nice one
Excellent!
Good stuff.
Brilliant acquisition, they are really lovely buildings

They are lovely buildings and I'm glad they found and excellent home. :-bd
That's great news for you and BS I'm glad the leven range won't disappear
It's great to see the best run business in Wargaming continue to grow and innovate.
I must admit, Pendraken had such a good Battlescale range that I throught they already were the owner.
Thanks for the kind words guys!
Leon, when will the resin workshop be up and running for this and the existing resin products?
A suggestion:
The Battlescale walls don't state the length of a section (Unless I missed something).
That would be a useful amendment to the catalogue.
Dimensions of buildings and other terrain features are helpful.

I love the smell of resin - You could run visits and allow paying visitors to take in the wonderful smell.
Sadly that's probably banned by the health and safety spoilsports. They have banned most nice smells

Before the end of the year, but not sure exactly when just yet. The new room has been built and fitted out, so we just need to get the resin casting equipment and then we're good to go. I'm going to talk to a guy next weekend about that and make sure we get the best quality kit.
The learning curve shouldn't be too difficult as we used to cast our own resin years ago, the only difference this time will that we'll be using a vac chamber for better quality castings.

I'm not sure on that to be honest, we do workshop tours during our annual game day so the new resin room would be included in that. We let folks do some metal casting but I'm not sure about letting them loose with resin and vacuuming!
