We played through the latest game in the War of the Worlds aftermath campaign, using Mutants and Death Ray Guns.

Great report. You guys must have fun remembering which characters go with which campaign.
The Shades, seen so many different versions of this story I forget what they are. Can someone remind me?
Will, Shades are my own invention. Basically humans that have been biologically altered by the Martians into savage cannibalistic killers and released to hunt down survivors. They have brain implants so that they can be controlled psychically by the Martians.
Oooh
Your reports are always so well written up Sunjester :-bd
Purhaps your WoTW party needs to find some grenades/exploding spheres/fireballs that have featured in some of your earlier RPG campaigns, that would make the Martians nervous :) :-\
Thanks Pierre. They do have the opportunity to make improvised devices in between games. As well as the normal loot from the MDRG rules, they can salvage "scrap". This covers almost anything potentially useful, from flammable materials to literally scrap metal. This can me used to make anything from body armour to explosives.
Unfortunately, the first time any of the players used an improvised explosive, it just knocked the machine over (partly due to poor dice rolling!). So now they favour running away!
