Welcome to the latest Pendraken newsletter!

Just a quick update for you this month as we continue work on several projects whilst enjoying a bit of sunny weather!

Army Builder and Updated Cold War Lists

For a long time now we've been working on a bit of a 'Continuity Project' to edit/update all of our Cold War Commander army lists to ensure that all stats are correct across all of the current lists, as well as a handful of new ones.  We're glad to say that this mammoth task is almost complete and the updated lists will be released in PDF form in the next few weeks and you'll be able to access them as usual through our Forum here (https://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,21713.0.html).  In total we'll have checked almost 60,000 data points across the 50+ lists so it's been a lot of work!

Once the PDFs are live, we'll be sending the lists over to our webguy to get them uploaded to the Army Builder software as well.  In case you've missed it, you can find the Army Builder here  (https://armybuilder.pendraken.co.uk/)and for £10 pear year you can access all of the Blitzkrieg Commander and (soon!) Cold War Commander lists to create dozens of your own lists to save or download and share with your gaming group.

10mm Napoleonic Russians!

One of our big projects for the latter half of this year is a fully comprehensive new Napoleonic Russian range, covering 1805-1815 and comprising of around 270 sculpts!  This is going to be a BIG range with everything you could possibly need, but is obviously going to take a lot of sculpting too.  We're estimating 10-12 months to get everything made, with the first two batches already done and here at Pendraken HQ.

Our current plan is to run another Not-Kickstarter type campaign for these, as we've done with the 1809 and Peninsular expansions previously.  Once the sculptor is getting towards the halfway point of the sculpting, we'll get some photos taken and we can start the pre-order process.  So, keep an eye out for further updates!

Behind The Scenes at Pendraken with Pazoot!

This month we were delighted to host Paul from Pazoot as we took him and his many video cameras on a full tour of Pendraken HQ, including interviews with our staff and some behind-the-scenes looks at some of our processes.  You can see the full video on his YouTube channel here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PAotvQglWvQ) so make sure to give it a look!

28mm Schleswig-Holstein range!

When our founder, Dave, retired from his full-time job, he started work on a personal project that he'd wanted to do for many years: assembling 28mm armies for the Schleswig-Holstein wars. This project has now expanded into the wider conflicts and revolts of the time, totalling well over 400 sculpts so far.

Over the past year or so, we've had quite a few requests to add them to the website so you can now find them all here (https://www.pendraken.co.uk/28mm-schleswig-holstein).  We don't have any pictures of them currently but we'll be working to get those sorted ASAP.

Dave is continuing to add more to his project but there are no timeframes and additions will appear as/when he gets them done!

Big Summer Games Day!

And finally, thanks to everyone who came along to our annual Summer Games Day!  We lost track of the numbers during the day but it was busy throughout and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.  And a big thank you to the clubs/individuals to volunteered to run the games: Prince Bishop Wargames Club, North Riding Wargames Club, Middlesbrough Games Club and David Lambert!

We'd also like to say goodbye to our longest-serving employee Jess this month, as she moves on to a new role working with a charity for autistic and neurodivergent people.  Jess has been with us for 11 years and we're definitely going to miss her sparkle around Pendraken HQ, but we wish her all the best in this exciting new chapter.

Good luck Jess, and thank you for all those packages I've received that you despatched.

More exciting news.

For those of us who are easily confused will the new Russian range replace or augment the existing "moscow" russians?

And can the bronze age please cover the stuff others do not like the hill tribes and Israelite tribes?  There are hundreds of (well at least two) 10mm ish manufacturers already who do Egyptians, Hittites and Sea peoples and while your product will be better, my lads just need fresh victims not replacement.

It'll be a fully comprehensive new range so probably more of a replacement than an extension.  We'll probably leave the current 1812 chaps where they are, just as people have already bought them over the years and they're fine in terms of sculpting quality.

As soon as we've got the Russians done the sculptor will be moving onto those Bronze Age figures.  I've asked him to send me some prospective range lists (as this is a personal interest project for him), so as soon as I've got those we'll post them up for feedback/suggestions.

Very clean. Nice to see the casting dwarves.  Were they standing on boxes?

I didn't see the executive pamper boudoir? Was that off limits?   :-\

Good video!

The idea of popping across from the Lake District is an interesting one!

"Chains from the casting machines don't reach far enough"

Was Dave censored for swearing or giving away trade secrets?

YouTube is ridiculous for adverts. After 4mins ads for a couple of mins. I've now lost count of how many sets of ads in 17mins

Good luck to Jess in her new role :-bd ! As a parent carer of an autistic and neurodiverse young person and volunteer with a CIC supporting them same, I know how important this is in providing help to families right across the country.

Depending which browser you use, AdBlocker is a great little plug-in.  I use it through Chrome and Firefox and it stops all video and browser ads.

Good to see the Napoleonic Russians are going to get some love, hopefully some premium bonds will come up and I can join the kickstarter :D

Don't forget the foot cossacks with pikes, Bashkir and Tarter horse archers.
