Went to the Phalanx show today, great day, thanks to Pendraken for supporting the show and the show circuit in general.
I have put some photo's and observations up on my blog.
BUT, I have opened the post with one my occasional Fake News rambles, for those who dislike such things, please just scroll past. Cheers Norm.

Great report fella
Good report Norm.
I popped along around 1pm for an hour - seemed very quiet at that time.
I've seen 2 or 3 games in Norm's photos that I didn't spot in person. Didn't buy much, and all that I did was from Pendraken, a number of battlescale buildings for AWI and lots of MDF river sections, which have already had their backs painted brown to try to avoid any warping.
Had a good chat to a guy demoing a new version of Axis and Allies with a very impressive large circular board - which seems a good way to display a global map on a table top. Looked great but likely a 2 day playing time!
Also had a good chat with Leon and Adele - mainly about the joys of collecting children from Uni at the end of term!
Nice one, Norm !👍
Impressive report kid. The Beacon Games contribution won best game.. which was fun. Next year will be "peagus bridge" possibly. My only contribution was the rather taty P51, so I take no credit. I would like to thank all those who complimeted us and made favourable comments. Managed to annoy Leon pointing out some errors in the BKC Korean supplement. All in in all an excellent day. :D
Missed it this year, due to other duties.
Wanted to check if Leon had aged even a little bit. He could make a fortune of skin care products.
"I am older than the hills, yet younger than the stars. I have stood proud in the storms and faced the drying heat of the forges whilst chastising my recalcitrant casting dwarves. And yet my skin looks smooth and youthful. What's my secret? I use DarkLord Skin Care to keep my skin looking so good. It's made from all natural ingredients, including one secret ingredient which would bring me to the attention of Cleveland Constabulary. #giggle#"
It's Leon, not Liam FSN!!! :o
I put the first city block MDF building (Red Vector) together yesterday. It was one of the smaller ones (£6). No instructions! ..... but how hard can it be! Took me a bit longer than I thought, and the learning curve is .... 'Do the window frames first'! they attach to the interior and are fidly to fit if doing AFTER the building is built - Doh!
I should fly through the next 7.
Highly recommended for anyone wanting to build up a town / city centre.
Good to see you at the weekend Norm!
