With Salute only a few days away the sad news is that FWC-2 won't be getting released at the show. We'd sent the document over to the editor back in October and despite updates that progress was being made, he informed us last month that the rules wouldn't be ready in time for our launch.
We did spend a few weeks trying to come up with an alternative option, a kind of 'soft' launch instead, but the timescales were just too tight by that point and anything we did would be compromising in some way. We want this new book to be the best we can make it, so I didn't want to have to cut any corners to try and rush it through.
Obviously we're as disappointed at this news as you guys, as we'd prepped everything ready for the launch, including a demo game at Salute and new Sci-Fi ranges ready for moulding. So to have to pull it all at the last minute really isn't what we'd planned.
At the moment we're too busy with Salute prep to figure out the best way forward, so we'll get the event out of the way first and then we can decide what to do. The good news is that the rules will definitely be released this year and we can use this extra time to make sure that we get it right.

Thanks for the update. Salute would have been the perfect opportunity to launch FWC2, but I think that a quality product is worth waiting for. I'm sure that most players would rather you take the extra time to make sure that the rules work properly and the book looks great, rather than try to rush them into production.
I'm sure that the end product will justify all the extra effort.

I'm just about to shift focus onto Future War, now that all of the Cold War lists have been updated. I'm hoping that it won't be a massive job but I'll need to get going with it and see how quickly I can make progress.
