Title: Macta, Algeria, 1835
Post by: Chris Pringle on 06 January 2025, 02:46:43 PM
I'm taking the liberty of posting this link to Alan Millicheap's AAR
https://twomarshals.blogspot.com/2020/03/macta-28-june-1835.html
because (a) he has very nice Pendraken armies on display and (b) it's an interesting and obscure battle (to me, anyway).

Good looking figures.

A very different kind of game for BBB - almost feels a bit cramped / skirmish like, for the type of units that are being represented. I think sometimes it is the road (and the wagons) that look very 1:1 representative scale, which then compresses the visual representation of everything else - this is probably far more of a thing when looking at photos on the internet than when playing the game.

I see your point, though I wonder if that claustrophobic impression is also to do simply with the wagon train being surrounded?

Anyway, glad you like Alan's pics.
