The latest Ebay thingy has got me undecided about where to focus my efforts in 2025. The trouble with being a creative is that it's not easy to dabble in assorted projects, it is more effective to really focus on one endeavour. Both options feel like throwing mud at a wall and hoping it sticks, but I hold a motto that when the money begins to runs out wargamers never let me down, which has been true for the last 2 decades.
So help me decide! :)
Interesting choice
The micro mark lists have residual value - in that once written they will keep providing income - but they are fairly low priced individually
Painting and selling stuff can generate much better immediate income - but it's a once and done endeavour.
Would a bit of both work? They feel like fairly different activities to each other and might be nice to be able to do some list writing for a few days to split up the painting?
With the latest eBay nonsense - giving selling there a break, even if only for 6 months, until they realize they have made a grave error seems sensible to me.
That gives you time to produce more Micro Mark lists and look at alternative ways to sell any painted stuff in future. Almost the best of both worlds (IMHO).
NB: I gave up "adding value" to my eBay sales by painting them. I never managed to get a realistic return for my efforts and I found I ended up resenting using my valuable painting time for other people.
Can't ya do both?
