Hi Arsenus,

out of interst I have the following:
1 SF2,
1 SF12,
1 SF15,
1 SF20,
1 SF21,

Some pictures here on my blog ;)

http://nosherswargames.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html

I had a look on the BKC/FWC Forum this morning and there used to be an AvP army list and notes that I created which doesn't seem to be there anymore. That said it is still on my hard drive and I would be more than happy to ping it over to you.

The vehicles on the command stands - hmm, IIRC I swapped turrets from SF7 & 8 so that they looked different  :) The FAO vehicle is the hull from the Vietnam Ontos code VV1 - without the gun barrels & with a bit of a spare gun barrel added [for the antenna] & a spare truckbed side bent round & glued to the back...mad bastard re-engineer, me  :D

Not sure which of SF7 & 8 my Light Tank is though:

Thanks fellas - glad you like them...

They are single pose - but you could do some judicious arm-bending I reckon to give a bit more variety - pointing the forearm weapon forwards?; if I was doing these again [they were a sort-of afterthought addition to my Aliens to be honest] I would base them singly...cos they're feckin' hard, eh??!
Title: Re: Pictures of Sci-fi range
Post by: Kassad on 11 March 2011, 05:00:18 PM
I want them! Yes, I think that Predators could be modified in pose and weapon too. Puts on base alone is a goog idea. The Predators are tough and solitaire hunters.

I have just finished my predator figure, will show photos when I get back to my room in the hotel. I did a bit of bending too... Looks fine

Here he is,
I did consider putting him in for the compettition. I spent ages with the painting to ensure he had that certain predator look, watched the film loads of times to get it just right.
Apologies for the unfinished base, just havent got round to sorting it yet  :-[

Hi folks,
I'm a new kid on the block. I have just treated myself to SF12 ? Starship Troopers  (20 marines, worms, 4 leg bugs and 6 leg bugs). I want to get the best look for them. Any tips on assembly / painting of the bugs ? I like the pictures of the Marines, Well done everybody.

Regards,

Graleth

This is my only painted bug. Just a paint test for the long terms project "Starship Troopers" (both book and movies). Imho, I don' t like the original miniature so I adds 2 razor legs and converted this specific bug in outerworld native predator. I prefered glue the body directly on the base and then adds the legs for better model resistence.

Hi Kassad,
Thanks for the prompt reply. I had not originally thought of modifying them, but I might thin the pads on the feet slightly, maybe turn them into claws. I was not sure on putting it or the Marines on a base (1p or plasticard ?). Possibly more stability, but would it look as good ? I will check in the Starship Troopers rulebook for colours. Do Pedraken do them in other sizes ? How about Skinnies too ? I have got the Skinnies Army book, I'm sure there are painted skinnies in there.

Regards,

Graleth

You' re welcome. I think is necessary based 10mm, because are too small for stand up itself in game. About the Skinnies I don' t know if Pendraken have compatilble miniatures, maybe in fantasy range. The book, if I remenber, said the Skinnies are tall about 3 meters, so you could use 15mm miniatures, like "Grey" aliens without great problem I think.

Hi Kassad,
There is no urgency, I will wait until the Pendraken guys have got the photos up, they must be rushed off their feet. I have plenty to keep me busy.
