Title: Goliath for the Gold (again)
Post by: FierceKitty on 24 September 2024, 08:00:43 AM
Great is Astarte that dwelleth in the clouds and smileth at every embrace of lovers, for She hath bestowed victory upon her favoured son. Let a joyous song be sung unto Her, even in the voice of the King, and let there be much beer at the soldiers' tents this evening. Hooray hooray, I did win again! Pharoah Rhamses VI are a weedy wet, so there!

The two generals tried to settle their differences in a single combat, but after four rounds dinging away at each other shook hands and went off to get about 30, 000 reinforcements. Lee refused her right flank, which I took advantage of with the Sherden chariots, though the chariot runners held them up briefly and were still there, though battered, when the retreat sounded. My own centre breakthrough, though not my favoured tactic, was very successful; the capture of the Pharoah was a valuable bonus.

Lee wasn't at her sneakiest today. She normally uses light cavalry more judiciously.

Congratulations young Molesworth!

However, kno* that Ashtoreth, Queen of Heaven, is a fickle and jealous mistress. Do not boast too loudly of your part in this victory lest she withdraw her guarding hand from thee and instead smite thee for thy hubris! :)

Hubris? We won by the grace and favour of the Lady. Non nobis, domina, sed nomini tuo da gloriam! as any fule kno.

Admittedly, being true Philistines, we intend to put a Lion King head on the great sphynx before we go home.

Hmm, Who are you, and what have you done with Kitty. Or possibly Lee.

The two generals first "dinging away" at each other caught my attention. Do you have more details or, better, pictures? Was this actually Min having a go at Astart? Were other sky beings involved or did they just watch?

Alas, the camera burst into flames. Records are compromised. I hope you've notice, however, that Goliath is a 15mm Essex figure.

Goliath is suitably impressive. Perhaps it's camera perspective, but Pharaoh seems equally substantial.

Illusion. He's a standard MM figure.

So the lack of consistency is not only in the Early Imperial Roman range then

TWO wins on the trot!  You have either changed wives, or Lee is after something expensive, or has some awful job she wants you to do.
