Title: AWI project (individual basing)
Post by: naponicoleone on 22 July 2024, 02:46:12 PM
Hello everyone,

I just want to share the beginning of my project (AWI with 10mm Pendraken based individually for homemade rule).

The 4th Connecticut regiment :

Rather satisfied with this result but i think i will highlight the skin next time.

Next one will be the 13th Virginia regiment.

Very excited with this project. These miniatures are a pleasure to paint.

Great looking unit!

Can I ask why you have gone with individual basing - even with the sabot bases feels it is quite fiddly in 10mm?

Hello Fred!

Thank you! I want to see losses on the battlefield. I already have miniatures for wounded/dead men. I love "realism" so i need to represent attrition during the battle. It's true that it is not so easy to base 10mm miniatures individually but it's easier to do than it seems :D

Both very nicely done.

I like them both but slightly prefer the militia. not sure entirely why. Perhaps it's just the variety of poses. Or perhaps I just have a soft spot for troops at the bottom of the barrel when it comes to drill, arms and equipment!

Thank you so much to all.

@Ithoriel : yes, I preferred to paint the militia too ;)

Next step is second regiment of Militia and then British troops.

I am in awe of those young and nimble enough to use individual basing at 10mm.  My arthritic and pudgy fingers are starting to struggle to pick up anything less than 30mm wide bases

Beautiful work! You certainly do justice to Clib's lovely sculpts.
