Dead handy! :D
Very neat, Rudy. What's the actual cabinet? Was that home-made?

Very nice Rudy - and a stunner of a price - nicely done 8) [they don't have any more damaged ones, do they? If not - could you just nip round to the showroom & 'accidentally' fall into a couple for me could you? :D]

Make that a full raiding party, Nik. I'll bring the missus who excels in toppling stacks in shops - she's a natural! :D

Believe it or not, the first thing that crossed my mind was I'll just topple over the ones in the rack, and come back in a week or so - but then I realised I really couldn't do that :)

It's a Leitz document holder with 10 drawers: http://www.office365.co.uk/Desktop-Accessories/155363-Leitz-Form-Set.htm (http://www.office365.co.uk/Desktop-Accessories/155363-Leitz-Form-Set.htm) As you can see it's not cheap. I have had my eye on it for some time, but found it too expensive, and now I am happy I have waited.
We had a guy wanting to sell a load of drawer sets like those, back at the Warfare show. The problems were that each drawer was only 20mm high, and he wanted £10 for each unit. :(
Nice! That's a real steal...
I thought I was doing well when these guys gave me a bulk discount for 12 boxes.

Leon, did he want 10 quid for every drawer? Or per set? Coz that's not bad at all! My drawers are 20 mm high as well, my drawers are 20 mm high as well, inside dimension, plus 3 or 4 mm of open space. My magnetic sheet is 1 mm thick, and my bases are 1 mm thick as well, so that's just the right size I'd say.

These boxes are nice enough, and seem correctly priced, more so when you have gotten a nice discount on them. The only issue, and it's one I have run into time and again, is that boxes like this come in heights of 40 mm and up. In 10 mm, that's a lot of wasted space. And for me that's a big issue, because my hobby room is tiny, and already filled to the brim with 28 mm, boardgames, lots of terrain, supplies, and so on... We're hoping to expand someday, but for now that's just wishful thinking.

Fair point sir.
They do a slim box too, c25mm deep, it's more readily available in any branch of 'Staples',, these I have to order in.
I would go to 40mm which is the exterior box measurements, mine are housing a mixed division in each box of Cav and Inf, and 40mm is large enough to cope with a cavalry standard bearer or mounted officer waving a sword.

That was the price per set of drawers, I think there were about 12 drawers in each? They were second hand, bit tatty, and we thought we wouldn't be able to get much more than £10 back for them. We also didn't have much storage for keeping them at Pendraken HQ!

I can't help but think this is not the proper place to discuss one's tatty drawers, my lady. Nor Pendraken's capacity to store them. You really should get out more.
Cheers,

The problem, as evidenced by the trouble surrounding storage of said drawers, was that the lady in question was of some considerable bulk, and is completely unable to get out at all. In fact, the lady is question is so large, she has slightly smaller women orbiting around her.... :D

This has made my day...I'm having one of those where I was wishing it was Friday by about 0845 :o
I was lucky enough to grab some Silverline 10 draw filing cabinets from work,( before you ask, the place was closing down to move to new premises and the boss ok'd it). They are ideal for 10 /15mm figures. They are £70 new, but ebay do second hand ones.
I use fishing tackle boxes for floats n stuff. They have two levels, each about 20mm deep, and unlike the gw suitcase type have a handle on the lid, so the minis are carried flat.
