Title: SYW Church and Churchyard
Post by: DHautpol on 10 July 2024, 02:09:53 PM
I've been doing a bit a scratch-building to add to my terrain collection.

The other buildings are by Battlescale, with the exception of the barn which is from Total Battle Miniatures.

Thank you for your kind comments.

I'm working on a couple of tutorials for the church and the churchyard. I hope to post these on Sunday or Monday; I'm at Lord's tomorrow and Saturday so I won't get to complete them any sooner.

As I started with the painting of the Church, I had the thought that, with just the walls base-coated, it resembled the church in the paintings.  So I quickly base-coated the Churchyard wall and added in a few figures.

The winter scene we are accustomed to seeing  :)

Yes, and as the day lasted less than 15 overs we are due a 75% refund; the Ticket Office has already emailed me. I suppose being so promptly pro-active avoids them being inundated with calls and emails.

My mate organised Saturday's tickets so they have presumably already been in contact with him about those.  We were also seeing England Women v NZ Women T20 at the Oval on Saturday evening (a mad dash from Lords to the Oval at the close of play).  Consequently, we had to make separate trips into town and couldn't really settle into doing stuff on Saturday afternoon knowing we had early evening starts.
