FWC is a pretty good set of rules that covers most aspects of SF ground warfare
Unfortunately there isn't much in 10mm other than Pendraken's range
In 6mm, 15 & 28mm there is a vast amount to chose from
And there is a bootcamp http://www.millicheap.freeserve.co.uk/fwc2011/
[declares interest: as FWC playtester, proof-reader, painter & all-round SMP fanboy :)]
They're great - if you want fun, fast & furious these are for you - you'll get the uncertainty of command & control; there's loads of excellent special rules etc to play with; scenario play rules; everything in one well-produced book [no buying supplements...ever] with photographic play examples...oh, and you get Skirmish rules included. And the cover is purple [which, to be fair, is an area I didn't have much influence in...!] Oh - and really well-supported with a great, friendly forum [like here] where Pete [author] posts daily & will respond to q's etc; purchase of online-battlegroups support is entirely recommended too: so you can print out army lists etc - for particular scenarios [eg according to defensive posture etc]...superb!
Totally & utterly recommended: I've said it before, & I'll say it again, these are a cast-iron bet for wargames rules 8)
I Second everything Nik said about FWC. Truly are fun set of rules :D
Thanks for responding!
Is there possibility to create profils?
Yep theres a downloadable Unit cost calculator.
Gordon
Sounds good to me!^
Thanks all!
Nikharwood,
I have just purchased the book. If it is not cool, i will go in U.K. (or anywhere else) to find and stun you with my Star Trek phaser TOS! ^^
;D
No worries - trust me, you'll love it 8)
I'll echo the praise - they're a good sci-fi set.

oh, and you get Skirmish rules included.
However, having used the skirmish rules they are (as the book states) sketchy at best, and essentially an 'add on idea'.
They work ok but you need to do a lot of work yourself to sort them into a usable set, and snipers are insanely overpowered.
They do hoewer offer the nub of a decent platoon-level game.
Just received it!
Beginning to read...

Jurors say:
He will live!
Honestly, the rules are very simple!^^
The army list bring to me by Nosher is great but i see some differences with the cost calculator and maybe we could change some of the alien profils.
I was thinking to remplace Alien juvenile by Runner alien as we see in Alien 3?
Phew! #:-S
I can come out of Ollaberry's croft now... :D
