Title: Photos: D-Day WW2 game, Pendraken's games room, 29/06/2024

Sword Beach (two parts of at least)

These are just photos I took whilst taking charge of some of the British troops. Dave "Deedles" was GM-ing the Axis opposition at my end of the table, whilst James and Martin were playing out the action at the other end of the table (with the two BUAs).

Dave has a blog post with a decent report of the game, so I won't give away too much and let him put up his own photos/link. James and Martin took photos as well, so there'll be further images in time.

Miniatures are 15mm from the collection of James. Terrain is a mix belonging to Dave and James.
The game scenario was based on D-Day, I think the Axis counter-attack part was brought forward for the game but Dave or James will be able to confirm/explain.

Again, Pendraken (Adele and others were on duty this time) were excellent hosts and I'd recommend the games room to anyone.

It was a great game to play in . These are an investment over time with extra kit, terrain , mats etc - it's reached new levels this year , but we still have more we want to do . So glad you like it

Everything about this is top notch.  Wish I lived in the UK!  But special kudos to whoever did the water.  I cant tell if it's printed or effects and it is very well done.

The water is part of a Beach Mat that Dave got from Deep Cut Studios, I believe(?)

- For some reason the images aren't showing for me, so I'll look into this and will probably need to host them on my blog instead of a Discord.

Ah nice.  I realized now there are no seams, so that makes sense.  It is very nice.

I have one that is "Caribbean" that one of these days I finish some ships, I plan to put loose terrain over like that, then add sand.

Hi - yes the beach was a bespoke request from Deepcut studios, 12x6 wide , a more greyer shade of sea to match another sea mat I had. The depth of various sections was also requested . They did a great job
