Started to paint up some 6mm Swedes to use for the Deluge and Scanian Wars. I plan to use the Liber Militum Tercios ruleset. Bases are 65mm x 35mm, will post more as I paint them.

Managed to finish up the first Swedish cavalry unit. According to the Hoglund book, most of these guys didn't have proper uniforms and just wore buff coats. I matched the saddle blankets and rolls to the standard.

Very atmospheric unit, really nicely done
Very nice indeed!

Beautiful. Lovely, clean painting and basing. I like the thicker bases you've used - 3mm thickness?
Finished up some additions to the project:
I've been working on some Swedish and their brightly colored infantry.

Here is the Swedish contingent this far. The cavalry is missing because I opted to rebase them and cram some more figures on the base.

And lastly some Danish cavalry.

The plan is to build up small armies of about a dozen bases, I hope to collect and paint up Swedes, Danes, Russians, and Poles. My pictures here on my blog:

Excellent work once again 8) !
Very cool bases

Really good looking little men!
Nice work. Has to be one of the most colourful armies. Scanian War is an interesting period. I did some sculpts in 15mm for Khurasan as an adjunct to the main late 17th Cent range; but I was told a couple of years ago nobody was buying Swedes, which was disheartening to hear. :(

Scanian War is one of those periods that should have more appeal than it does. You have large naval actions with pretty ships, a cacophony of colorful uniforms and interesting battles.
I plan to use these armies for the Deluge as well. I can incorporate more exotic opponents for the Swedes like the Commonwealth and Russian armies.
