Techno has started working on our Alien races for the new Sci-Fi ranges and first to hit the moulding queue are the Octarii. These tentacled terrestrials are an octopus-inspired race but would obviously work as a Cthulhu themed army too.

Nice!
Awesome, love these.
Will be getting some.
One thing that is wrong is release order, this is range seven but they're Octopods...
cephalopod/septalopids? ;)
Dearie, dearie me ! ;D
love 'em.
Need to think of how alien they can be. :-\
So I'm thinking these aliens can use almost anything as cover, and are very, very difficult to spot as their camouflage is spectacular.
Octopuses may have arrived on Earth from space! Or not, but it could be the explanation for terrestrial octopuses, the Octarii, and Mighty Cthulu. https://cordis.europa.eu/article/id/123479-trending-science-do-octopuses-come-from-outer-space#:~:text=An%20extraterrestrial%20virus%20infected%20a,the%20octopuses%20we%20know%20today. If we are going to argue grammar... :d
Octopus is third declension Greek not second declension Latin, so the plural is octopodes not octopi, though octopodes is regarded as archaic, and modern English is accepted as octopuses.

If you've ever seen video footage of other Cephalopods that can use their own camouflages to denote their 'moods' - like cuttlefish or squid they are incredible. I was lucky enough to be snorkeling on a tropical coral reef when confronted by an angry cuttlefish (I had swum too near her nest site) - she went from a deep blue-black to pure white with golden yellow spots through to an almost luminescent pulsating red in a matter of a few seconds - good job she was only c. 6 inches long or I'd have been in big trouble ;D
So expect these Octarii to make use of adaptive Camo in FWC terms.
I look forward to seeing these painted in "passing cloud" camouflage. :)
Are these going to be sick squid 75 a pack?
Asking for a friend
X_X :D
Any news on a release date for these.
Painting comp...
Not in time for the Comp sadly, probably a March release at the moment.
That's great! 8)
