Title: Forum Problem?
Post by: d_Guy on 21 May 2024, 02:17:24 AM
I have not seen a new post in over two days which is very unusual. Neither "Unread Posts" or "Updated Topics" returns anything. Is this a problem with my computer or have others experienced the same?

Thanks Peter. I got your email. This is the only tread that updates and that after a cold boot. Looks like time to flush the browser.

Now trying Mozilla, which I just downloaded. If I don't log in I can see there are current posts in multiple threads. As soon as I log-in they no longer show up. Strange.

Have you tried looking at your profile settings ? I occasionally get sumat similar but logging out and in normally fixes it.

If it's any help - I see only one new post yesterday (20 May) at 09:36:17 by Big Insect.
There is a post on 19 May at 10:11:31 and then nothing bar the above post until 03:04:11 this morning. After that there are several posts - this thread.
That's logged in via Chrome or not logged in via Edge.

Only one post yesterday but plenty on this topic today.  I had noted that in the last few days there seemed to be a decline in the number of posts.  Something in the system?  Reminds me of past struggles https://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,19786.msg302098.html#msg302098

Time for a reboot?

Thanks for the suggestions. Even fsn (and Orcs) had a round about suggestion - I had been sent to Coventry (I believe this is the correct use of one of the arcane idioms you lot use).

I did cold reboot, dropped vpn, switched vpn to locate in Docklands, and tried different browsers including a pristine Firefox ...no joy.

Today "unread" seems to work, but still an unbelievable low number of new posts (this thread and one other).

Thanks LKofB, at your suggestion I looked at my profile - nothing seems amiss.

Just a bit quiet I think, we only had 1 post made yesterday which is very low.  Usually it's around 20 per day I think?

Well It was him that sent hose plasters to Techno a few years back and he kept on denying it.

A <Celtic shrug> would involve dropping one shoulder in preparation to swinging a shillelagh, claymore, or frying pan.  :D
