We've got some more Sci-Fi releases for you next with ranges 5 and 6 now up on the website. The Griffon are an authoritarian state with some definite M113 vibes about their vehicles. The Free States are a smaller mercenary based range with some really nice gun platforms for their artillery.
These packs are all structured to provide a unit/base worth of figures, aside from the infantry that come in larger packs. The vehicles include driver/commander torsos too, to add a bit of extra detail.
All of these new figures are sculpted by Phil Lewis, along with vehicles/support weapons by Dennis Smith.

Nice! Especially the sci-fi Churchill!
=D> :-bd =D>
;D
Excellent stuff there 8) !
Those are brilliant and exactly what I thought some states would look like.
Some more interesting concepts, cool stuff!
The walker artillery platforms are an interesting concept - should the bottom part of the legs be bent out at 90º to give feet? It does look like they are ballerinas en pointe :)
Love'em.

You could certainly give it try if you prefer that look? The metal might not like that kind of angle though and could break rather than bend. I've just assembled them as they came from the designer, so the only tricky bit was getting them all to stay in the right place/angle while the glue set!
I've ordered, but have combined 5 & 6 into one force. :-[
They will have tanks with small wheels and boxy APC with turrets, supported by clerical artillery. I feel these will have a green/black scheme, and will probably win everything.
This green force will be the fourth (and a mighty fine palate cleanser they've been) and I've tried to get a mix on top of a infantry platoon in APCs: Black - MBT and indirect weapons, blue - no MBTs but lots of drones, green - conventional for today, brown mix of everything.
Great fun to be had by all. :)
Now, about those aliens we've been promised ... ?

^#(^ "Don't ask me, man. I just work here."

Unlikely to be older moulds for new releases! Just a typo, all fixed now.

Don't suppose there any skeletal robot-types planned?
Quote from: Raider4 on 30 March 2024, 11:18:18 AMDon't suppose there any skeletal robot-types planned?
Further down the schedule there will be but not sure when they'll appear yet. They'll probably appear as part of a 'Misc' type section with service droids, mercenary robots, etc.

I look forward to
Oblivion-style psychotic murder-droids ;)
A video tour of Salute 2024. Skip to about 12:32 to see the very impressive Pendraken Future War Commander display/demo game. Very much like the Aztec-style pyramid.
And what were the 13 different space themed items? I hear you ask????? :-\
What were the 13 different space themed items?
Here's the 13, can we identify them all?

I can't see them, let alone identify them. :-)
As part of his cunning plan to get people to look closer at the new 10mm SF ranges perhaps Leon made up all 13 themed stands from 3mm figures? :) :-\
Don't recognise the yellow box on tracks and the white box with the heart on the bottom row.
Yes to all the others. ;)
The yellow box is Wall-E
Thanks,Will. :)
'Fraid that's one that's passed me by.

I didn't know that one myself, it was my eldest who suggested it. I was then quite surprised when so many people at Salute knew it! It's from a computer game, if that helps at all...
It's the Portal companion cube
QuoteIt's the Portal companion cube
Was there cake?
Thanks for that, I think I know them all now :)
So the inevitable next question... where can I get them?
(at the very least I need Starbug and T'Bird 2!)
Cheers,
Pete
I can still only see broken image markers :-(

Aktually ... if the skull represents the Terminator franchise, then it is a time-travel and not a space theme. :-B
Quote from: fsn on 18 April 2024, 07:30:34 AMAktually ... if the skull represents the Terminator franchise, then it is a time-travel and not a space theme. :-B
Yeah, there's a story there... We'd initially called it Sci-Fi themed to go with the ranges. But then we did an Eagle + Neil Armstrong figure, so I switched it to space-themed but forgot about the Terminator...
QuoteBut then we did an Eagle + Neil Armstrong figure, so I switched it to space-themed
Well there are certainly plenty of people who think that's all made up.

Well, I'm not a 7th Ed. WRG player but, "Tonight, I'm a rock 'n' roll star" ... "in the sunshi-iiii-ne."
And yes, I do think Apollo 11 didn't land on the moon in 1969. I think they needed the result too fast, weren't quite their yet, so filmed it on Earth. NASA probably had the ability months/years later, but deadline 1969 meant they needed a victory over the Soviets in the space race too soon for the Apollo 11 mission to get there.
I'm not a flat earther, though >:<
Just to finish off, I'm playing at Pendraken HQ tomorrow so might see all this stuff, again. ACW in 10mm, Chancellorsville. Altar of Freedom rules.
Not sure if they made it but pretty sure the filming was fake
I have the feeling they filmed it before hand because they knew the Rad levels were too high to capture film footage.
Help, I'm losing track...
Moon landing was real, you can see it was real, otherwise they would have far better effects...
A flag flying free in a vacuum
The flag ? :)
I thought that had been explained decades ago. :-\
It's got a metal rod along the top surface and the only 'movement' (folding) was caused by the fact that it had been stored scrunched up. It only 'moves' when Aldrin and Armstrong are forcing the flagpole into the Moon's surface.
Once they move away from the flag and take another photo...the folds are exactly the same place.
(Aren't they ?) ;)

The song dates from 1988 and is not to be taken seriously
They landed on the moon. The filming is real. Nothing is fake. I have no time for deniers.
