Hello, I,m Paul. I'm English but live in the Black Forest Germany.
There's no wargaming Clubs near me so I am a solo wargamer by default. I'm just about to start a Wars of the Roses Project using Pendraken minis and will use the Sword and Spear rules.
I have other 10mm projects in mind, would love to do SYW and I kind of started a Fantasy project which i hope to finish and use The Portable Wargame.
Cheerio for now :)
Welcome aboard.
WOTR and SYW are both enormous fun, and the ranges here for both are excellent.
What ho, Paul!
I'm not one who indulges in Lace Wars - anything between Malpaquet and Maida is of no interest - however, have you looked at the upcoming AWI ranges? They are really, really good sculpts.
Welcome.

Yes they are and thank you :)

No didn't know about that. What rules would you use with them?
Welcome on board :) !

Totally wrong person to ask, Old Boy. I write my own rules.
However, I'm sure some kind, knowledgeable soul could reel off a few. There's probably a gross of numpties who also have a list.
Difficulty is spotting which is which. :-\
I myself, are proudly and firmly in the numpty category.
Hello and welcome
Welcome to the Forum!
Hello :-h
OK, leave me hanging.
I suggest that some clever, experienced, handsome, wise forumite will come up with a list of rulesets suitable for the late C18 and nobody steps forward.
Therefore either a) there are no erudite gentlemen on this forum (which is a distict possibily) or b) nobody plays late C18 (which is less likely, but going to be a blow when Leon releases all those new figures.)
Welcome

Would honours of war work? :)

No need to apologise. My comment was directed at the other members. Normally, they will pile in with suggestions for rule sets at various levels (army, brigade, skirmish.) I thought there would be some helpful responses by now.
Welcome ! :-h
Some of the chaps I know are doing AWI, going to the extreme of signing their souls away to Leon in exchange for 10mm shiny toys (okay, they work part-time as casters). I'll see what rules they're working with, I know they're building forces for a Bunker Hill scenario.
Several members of the North Riding Wargames Group are painting up 10mm Pendraken AWI to play out a Bunker Hill scenario, using Little Wars TV 'Live Free or Die' rules.
Here's Dave Doc's 10mm 43rd Ft., from his 4th Dec. 2023 blog post
Quote from: Dave DocI have worked out a simple paint method over a white base with some speed paints and thin washes . This cut down the time to do the first British battalion . This was a 7 base unit - the 43rd Foot - chosen just as it had white facings which cut down paining time.

In case anyone is wondering, I am not Dave Doc / Deedles.
Thank you Roy.

So are you Beaky, Mick or Titch?

Harold.
It's always Harold.
Someone asks me what a person's name is, the answer is Harold. They then ask why Harold, and I do an Albert Steptoe impression.
I don't know why I've a reputation for being a little strange.

Me neither ... I mean .... if they said you were VERY strange I could understand it .... :d :d :d :d
You fit in well here! :)
We use a use a Wing scale variant of Volley & Bayonet for AWI, a battle report can be found here https://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,21859.0.html (https://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,21859.0.html)
