Has anyone played or tested this rules set?
Sorry no.... my WW2 10mm project is still no hold until - gosh knows when. All my minis are still packed away unpainted and ready for their grand awakening - one day soon-ish lol.
Never heard of it. But I just looked at their website. It has a brief overview of the booklets contents and about halfway it mentions a chapter that doesn't cease to fascinate me: 'Civilians and Random Movement pg23-24 '.
Civilians on the battlefield. Who'd have thunk eh? Of course there are civilians living in all those houses we conquer or destroy every week on our gaming tables. Why does almost every other rulebook ignore them?
But what about the random movement? God knows this world has no shortage of randomly moving civilians, in fact there are so many of them they make you want to doff your Panzer cap, mount your PzKpfw IV and run it right through them. Anyway, the idea that the presence of civs on the fob should result in random movement is a brilliant notion, too.
At 15mm.co.uk they claim that the ruleset is a huge success. Pity no one can tell us any more about it.
Cheers,
Aart
Thank you for comment.
;)
I have been given a set of the 'use me' sci-fi rules by the guy that does the art for flinloque stuff. He said it was great fun. I'll get round to reading it. I'm sure the priciples are the same.
Might get the fantasy version for a read, being as the price is so cheap....
recieved the fantasy rules yesterday and Ive got to say they are pretty basic, sort of thing you could write yourself in an hour......
