Title: Napoleonic caissons/ammo wagons
Post by: kustenjaeger on 20 February 2024, 12:00:13 PM
I know there was some talk about these a while ago but I wondered if anything had progressed/transpired?

I noticed that General d'Armee 2 will have a requirement for 2 caissons per division on table. Admittedly I don't know how many people will use 10mm for it or who would use markers instead.

Yes I saw that too. I'm intending to use 10mm once I have finished my French and Austrians and so would be interested in having some caissons.

No news as yet, the customer who was commissioning them all has gone a bit quiet recently.  I'll be seeing the designer he's been using at Hammerhead, so I'll ask if there's anything impending.

Is that a thing?  Can people "patron" a sculpt?  Or am I misunderstanding.

It's something we do from time to time but it depends what you're looking for really?  We've got a couple of customers adding items to our AWI ranges that we weren't planning on doing ourselves, but it can be 6-12 months before you see them in production.  The guy who wanted the limbers has been working on them for nearly 3 years now I think.
