I've just come across this 'Swop' site, could be a useful source of books. You put up a list of any books you're wanting rid of, and then peruse the ones on offer from other members. If you see something you like, you make an enquiry, they check your list for something they like, and then you send each other your books. I've not tried it myself yet, so has anyone else used it?

Havent used it but i'm going to give it a go - looks like a great scheme. I've got quite a few books in that middle zone that means they may not sell for a wothwhile price but they are too good to go to a charity shop. Great link thanks
We have something similar in the local recycle center: If you bring a book - or several - that the keepers deems 'worthy' you get to take other books home free of charge. That way I have gotten my mittens on all James Clavell books as well as a nice historic atlas, and a few nice SF and fantasy books including The Stainless Steel Rat Saves The World which I enjoyed a lot!
