...in every sense. The English-Cimaroon-Hugenot-Jirajara allied force caused some damage to the settlement of San Miguel, but the Spanish clearly held the field by the end of the game. All figures Pendraken, church Leven.
I think the runaway slaves who made a go of it had long enough to accumulate a few horses, but must have been sadly short of instructors. Anyway, the Spanish horse rode right through them. And the supporting archers. And a unit of calivermen under Drake himself....
The pinnace Envy. I'm stretching credulity a trifle with the Jolly Roger, but there IS a reference to an English promise to the Cimaroons that they'd return, with the call to action being a black flag.
Navwar ship.
Take it Lee was the Spaniards ?
Of course. :(

Good stuff.
I recognise some but not all of the figures you have used for Drake's force, I will do a bit more digging through ranges as I have an English force for broadly this era.
The Cimaroon foot - not photographed here - are largely from the pirate range, with a few Irregular Miniatures included. Some ancient Indians mixed with Plains Wars figures for American troops. Cavalry in sombrero from Pendraken 19th-century stuff. The rest are from the Elizabethan range. Pinnace Navwar.

Cheers.
I've got a fair few of those in the lead pile - so will do a bit of rummaging.
